Yep, that sure sounds as if they care.
And remember, this is a company that can dictate every last comma and apostrophe of its franchisees’ behavior when it comes to prices, kitchen procedure, advertising, decor… if they wanted harassment dealt with, they could do it. But they think treating employees decently could get in the way of maximizing profit.
To those people who think that the *#*metoo is all about whiny celebrity women and pushy women office workers, think just a second about these women who are risking so much, so much more to make a point. They put up with harrassment just to keep crummy jobs, not climb the corporate ladder.
Go workers, go! Force these changes as it is well past time.
I agree with the up thread comment that McD’s controls everything at a franchise and could fix this too. Make them!

I am thinking about how things have changed and how they haven’t. When I was just starting out as a reporter, the woman in the next cubicle was from the jersey shore, and had spent her high school summers working at a boardwalk ice scream stand. Where groping by the owner was considered just a standard part of the job. The owners haven’t change much, but the employees have.
