Discussion: McDaniel Won't Concede: We Must Ensure 'Republicans' Voted

And what is corrupt about voting in an open primary runoff, when you didn’t vote in the first round, for the lesser of two evils in the party you don’t favor? Absolutely nothing.

If the idiots don’t want to happen, they need to change the election laws to require registration by party. The national trend is the other way.

False equivalence is a falsehood. Tautological, but something you need to brush up on before spouting inanities.

So? There was no significant race in the Democratic primary, and even more Dems stayed home than is usual in a primary. What makes you think it was ones who voted in the initial election who voted in the runoff? Do you have an iota of evidence?

Even the ninnies in the Texas legge mandate that vote cards be stamped with the party’s election voted in during the first round, just to prevent any misunderstandings, let alone fraud. If Mississippi’s government can’t take such a simple precaution, they are asking for trouble. Stupid does as stupid is.

What is corrupt about voting in a primary runoff? They could not have voted in this runoff if they voted in the Democratic Primary, so the letter of Mississippi law was followed, yet you cal it “corrupt”? I suggest you contact your Mississippi state representative to have the law changed.

Yes, it is illegal, and they have voter roles with names so that anybody who voted in the Democratic Primary COULD NOT vote in the GOP runoff even if they tried. What you had was Democrats turning out for the runoff who did not vote in the June 3 primary. Don’t like it? Change the law.

That is a republican tactic. It is fraud when Democratic voters do it. I get a headache just reading your post.

This Cochran character is truly a trip! What a sore loser this guy is…get over it dude! Mississippi said they don’t want you to represent them!

TPM: Instead, McDaniel, in his election night speech to supporters on Tuesday, suggested that he would fight the election results. McDaniel said “there is something a bit strange, there is something a bit unusual about a Republican primary that’s decided by liberal Democrats.”

Not as strange as a House controlled by the party who lost the popular vote for it.

Edited to Add: Also, it’s only a problem that Democrats might have voted in the primary if you believe that you represent only your Republican constituents and not the whole state.

ZoraN: What an odious crybaby KKKMcDaniels is. It’s almost like he doesn’t understand voting.

Of course McDaniel doesn’t understand voting or democracy - he’s a Republican.

There is something to that argument, but I also have sincerely thought that Reagan, Bush I, Bush II were too dumb and extreme for the US. Also, there’s a whole host of RWNJs who I thought were too crazy for prime time who are currently in Congress. Don’t underestimate the crazy.

They have already done that. Did you forget about Gabby Giffords?

“And so we will stand with courage, we will stand with judgement, we will stand with integrity and we will stand for dedication.”

Wrong on all counts. He’s not qualified or even capable of courage, judgement, integrity, or dedication.

When I hit ‘integrity’, well that was worth a hearty LOL.

Rise up little Tea Baggers! Everyone knows this was orchestrated by President Obama and his inner city minions! Rise up 2nd Amendment style!

Can Chris McDaniel run as an independent, Tea Party or as a write-in conservative candidate now that the he’s lost the corporate Republican primary?

I’ll listen to this SOB when I see evidence he has complained about the open primary in the past, barring that he can go to heck. Does MS have a ‘sore loser’ law where a primary loser can’t run in the general? Long term third parties are a losing strategy but given these narrow circumstances it might be a good call for McDaniel. The cash to be made on the paid speech circuit alone might be worth the try.

“Irregularities”… McDaniel got outworked.

Where is the Republican National Committee on this important issue? The Republican Party should allow the Tea Party to run as the conservative Third Party in the general elections. These rebellions are getting to be distractions from the main mission of the Republican party of serving corporate kleptocrats, vulture capitalists, banksters, tax cheats and providing wars to the military-indurstrial companies and mercenary corporations. Rinse Pubis (correct spelling??), the President of the Republican National Committee should arrange for a clean break with the Tea Party.

`Even though McDaniel won in the runoff it was by a slim margin.’

Ooops!

He thinks he is a Republican?

Odd.

By “Republicans” I’m sure he means ‘Not Black’ , right?
