Don’t play the RINO/DINO card. They aren’t spineless, they are representing their constituents.
Let be better than the right and understand having those people in place supporting 70-80% of what we stand for is better than having a Republican holding their seat.
Life is more than a single political issue.
Unfortunately, vulnerable Democrats are acutely aware that the people more likely to vote against them are also more likely to vote, period.
This means geriatrics and people naturally more conservative.
This skews the picture on the side of caution. However, the fault is with US. WE’RE the ones (those of us not infected with TeaNutt-itis) who habitually undervote.
There would never. NEVER be any expression like “Democratic turnout” if Democratic-leaning voters actually voted diligently and regularly. “Turnout” sounds like hangover-ridden people having to be slapped with wet towels to get awake enough to CARE to vote.
Since we (minorities, the young, single women) are simply too laid-back to vote, then the so-called “vulnerable” people (which now means anyone within the viewing range of FOX) are going to have to cower before Granny and Gramps.
Because, for sure THEY are GOING to be at the polls.

Southern Democrats - you can’t depend on them any more than you can a Republican. If they were capable of accomplishing anything, the South wouldn’t have remained crazy for 300 years.
Methane is just a way to hide the numbers and allow states to increase emissions as long as they are also increasing megawatt-hours. None of that has anything to do with the sham that is the new EPA rules that allows states to increase emissions if they desire to do it. We have an impending disaster looming for all of us and part loyalists are watching the same 'ole Kabuki theater and cheering because Obama is “doing something” about climate change (not). It is a joke. A sad one.
Because given the mandated time for public comment and other regulatory requirements, any later and they wouldn’t go into effect before he leaves office. And if by some (remote, I hope) chance he’s succeeded by a Republican, the odds are overwhelming that they’ll never go into effect because if they’re still pending rather than finalized new president can simply cancel them.
My thoughts exactly! It’s all a game of one-upping each other while we American citizens wait for them to actually do something.

No, thanks to you for your intellectually vacant response. The world is facing a serious problem that will kill thousands upon thousands. The political response has been less than negligible. and all you can come up with is “emoprog” name calling. Pathetic.
Seems like there are a couple options here.
Let the GOP shut down the government right before the election. For the country that’s probably the best option, since it might just ensure that we elect a Congress interested in actually doing “the people’s business” and not focused solely upon defeating whatever the President proposes.
Let them pass it, certify that it won’t affect jobs and etc, if if later on it is proved that it did, simply quote the Bush administration lying about Iraq and point out that nobody in the GOP was upset when Bush, Cheney, and et al lied, so what’s the big deal.
Some other option that leaves the GOP again holding the bag. Not sure what that might be, but I’m betting they’ll find yet another way to screw things up. Patience is a virtue here.
Not to mention the mass release of CO2 if the muskeg melts.
