When you properly interpret “the status is quo is unacceptable" to mean the PPACA and expanded Medicaid provide health coverage for too many poor people then the goal behind "We need to do better than the status quo” becomes painfully clear. Next on the agenda, Medicare provides health coverage for too many old people.
