Discussion: McConnell Throws Cold Water On Reviving Obamacare Repeal Effort

Public option would solve most of the problems, but Democrats aren’t permitted to introduce legislation and it’s far from clear that they’d support it if they could.

Translation:

Paul Ryan is full of shit. He can’t get jack shit passed out the House, and if by miracle he could, I don’t want to deal with whatever monstrosity they would come up with.

Why can’t Democrats introduce legislation? It won’t be considered but they can certainly introduce it.

McConnell’s smart enough not to keep beating a dead horse.

Definition of insanity and all that.

Status quo will not be. Trump will destroy ACA to prove a point.

Yes, voters should remember when 2018 rolls around that whatever remains of the health care system is thanks to the mean ol’ Demmycrats. Who hate freedom.

“We believe it will not work out well, but we’ll see. They’ll have an opportunity now to have the status quo, regretfully.”

This slime bucket really needs to get about 20 million postcards from all the people who now has health insurance under the ACA. If ever a face needed punching…

McConnell translated: Listen, you numbnuts, I just stood over here and watched y’all go down in flames. I didn’t get touched this time, but you better drop this whole fucking idea or you’re taking us all down with you.

“The Democrats wanted this…” Yeah, Americans wanted this.

Republicans will never accept single payer, universal health care. So, as long as they are in charge of 3 branches of government, forget it.

Their next actions will be to sabotage the ACA in every way they can. Then they will say, “See? We told you so!”

And the Dems will look very sad and not do a damn thing about it. Do they have any money for ads?

Could they not have a knowledgeable person to explain the 2 or 3 tweaks that the ACA needs.

Why not actually inform the populace on how any insurance works so they can finally GET IT?

Why not some quickies with twenty-somethings explaining how their skiing accident, or sports injury, or lymphoma affected their lives – with some having the ACA and others paying the penalty, thinking they did not need insurance.

Democrats REALLY suck at messaging, but it’s not brain surgery – even a sleepy dimwith learned to do that – so we can learn how to get the truth out!!!

Obamacare needs more money from wealthy people to help cover the cost of healthcare for everyone, and a public option (at minimum) to provide that “choice” and competition that everyone seems to want. But those are exactly the fixes the Rs will never consider because of either slavish devotion to ideology or slavish devotion to their insurance company and wealthy benefactors. But those fixes would be popular while their ideology and / or benefactors are not. But the Rs don’t want to admit that.

And unlike Ryan he isn’t willing to put vulnerable senators in the position of voting - since it would fail putting those senators voting for it on the side of the 17% that favored the likely, stinky face of a bill that would make it through the house. The turtle just took a dump on Eddie Munster.

Or 20 million people could save $6.8 million in postage and FAX him for free from their smartphone or computer.

So, they’re in the same place they were last week… House wants to keep ramming this through, Senate (wisely) doesn’t want to touch it.

Is McConnell not all chummy with Bannon like Ryan is?

And chummy is probably not the right word…“toxically entangled with”?

I don’t think he is. I don’t think McConnell is a Russia fan.
