“…four more years just like the last eight.”

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

Political wisdom from the same jowls that gave us the guarantee of stopping Obama’s second term, the repeal of Obamacare, blah, blah, blah. He may as well start quoting Bill Kristol as a source!

It does puzzle me that Republican’s continue to say that, as if June of 2016 is anything like June 2008.

Eight years of black. Followed by four (eight?) years of woman!? The Republic will implode!! Ahhhhh!!!

Speaking of turtles, does anyone else remember Bert The Turtle from the old civil defense “Duck and Cover” shorts shown in schools during the mid 50s to mid. 1960s. The one with kids crouching under desks and covering their heads while A-Bombs exploded all around? Scared the shit out of me and left an indelible feeling of angst and dread in a lot of us boomers. Some think that this exposure still defines the sense of cynicism and helplessness that defines members of my generation. Terrible thing to do to children. McConnell, Trump, Hillary, Bernie, were all exposed to the frightening prospect of atomic warfare. They all have that in common. Off topic, but I find it fascinating.

Trump: Why should I listen to “Do Nothing” Turtle? I own Golf Courses. I know how to win in Business. I am a billionaire. I will be POTUS.

Mitch c’mon. Get it thru your head. Trump is in no way qualified to be even a figurehead POTUS. He’s trump and is what he is. A blowhard narcissist Buffoon on an epic ego rant. He will not conform to what you want. He cannot. It should be obvious to you. And he’s dragging you, your GOP and the rest of us down his black hole of stupidity. Elect him and you deal a death blow that the Second World War could not.
Your shame buddy.
That the GOP would prefer someone of trump’s unique misqualifications I take to be a rejection of all the Greatest Generation fought for in 1939-1945. And further a rejection to all the Founders wanted us to be. That this…this… (I lack the vocabulary and would appreciate some help here) is anywhere near an election is an affront to all we should be as Americans. This stain will take decades to wash away.
I am reminded of what Lincoln said in his famous debate with Stephen Douglas during their election run up. “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” And that was said just before another famous “Brexit-like” situation that resulted in the bloodiest 5 years of our nation’s history.
Trump speaks of his own and how he profits while the rest of the world struggles. That should sufficiently demonstrate his care for others. To paraphrase … he can gain the whole world but he will lose himself and ruin others.

I asked Trump why no senior UK politicians would meet him and suggested it is because he is toxic? He said I was “a nasty, nasty guy”.

What does that say about your party, turtle boy, that winging it and acting like a jackass can get him the Republican nomination but doesn’t quite cut it when normal Americans are involved.

I would take that as a compliment.

Ten years of this obscene bullshit didn’t help.

They won’t be like the last 8 years at all, because the Democrats will have not only the White House, but also the Senate and maybe the House.

And McConnel will continue to say that… right up until he casts his vote for Trump in November.

I’ve heard that McConnell is willing to compromise on the issues of gun and immigrants: Illegal guns may self deport but they’ll have to be willing to give up the American dream.
