Thanks Dumb F@$â Chuck.
typical democrat behavior
âbipartisanshipâ
great leadership chuck and nancy
If I had much confidence that the Democratic Senators heading home to campaign might win their races because of this, then Iâd say it was a good move.
But I donât have much confidence in that.
I hope that I am wrong.
So , McTurtle wants to fuq women even more .
He âshepherdedâ them through without lube.
Actually, Schumer was the lube, and the residue, SantorumâŚ
Isnât there a city bus with this shillâs name on it?
According to Adam Jentleson, who used to be Harry Reidâs deputy chief of staff, the Dems could have done a great deal to slow-walk these nominations.
Team R always plays hardball, and Team D usually plays Nerf ball. This is just one more for-instance.
Another AP piece with their usual stenography. GOP bump in the polls? Um, not so much. First search item actually post Kavanaugh circus: https://www.bloomberg.com/amp/news/articles/2018-10-09/no-kavanaugh-bump-for-gop-as-democrats-hold-edge-in-cnn-poll
INFERNO {AP} After raising a goblet filled with the blood of puppies, McConnell and other senators toasted their success in putting 15 more corrupt, dishonest men in service of their Dark Lord. In the nether regions of the underworld (outside the beltway- underneath it) vast loads of paperwork and other forms were being made ready for the processing of their souls.
I have lived in NYC since the 70s. Never have I felt more despair over our two Senators. Not even while Al DâAmato was one of them.
WTF is really driving the anti-abortion republicans. As much as they love war and getting people killed I canât believe they gave a ratâs ass about the fetuses. Are they just trying to not pay for them? Is this just about money, and if so how much is it even saving in the grand scheme of all the other dumb shit we spend money on?
I hope he drops dead during the break. I donât care if thatâs mean, heâs an evil prick that will go down in history as the main player in Making America FUBAR.
Lots of speculation for that one. My pet theories is that the Repugs want to control women. They are terrified that women will cease having children (fodder for war, tax revenue, brainwashed voters).
Not that they give a shit about the kids or the women.
Once again, Senate Dems successfully snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. They couldâve easily demanded a separate vote on each nominee and dragged this out beyond the midterms. But noooooooo! Instead they not only helped pack the courts with Federalist, Dominionist judges, they offered to rent U-hauls in case any of them needed help moving. Idiots!
Iâm sorry, Schumer HAS to stop rolling over on these nominations. It hurts our country more to give in and pollute the judiciary for decades to let every Democrat go campaign. If I remember correctly, only ONE has to stay to keep things running. They could take turns in small groups and force the chamber to stay in session longer.
You have to remember that the Democrats are the ones against the ropes in the Senate races. Nearly every contested seat for an incumbent Senator is a Democrat fighting for re-election in a red state. The only exceptions are Heller in Nevada and, maybe, Cruz in Texas (and Cruz will likely do better if he doesnât show up to campaign).
McConnell was holding all the cards here because he knew that far more Democrats were desperate to go home to campaign to save their seats than Republicans.
Senates dems are powerless to do anything except procedural delaysâŚ
Lay this squarely at the feet of those stupid fucks that voted for Jill Stein or did not vote at allâŚ
Nope. That is not an excuse, even assuming the extra few days of campaigning would have any effect. First, this is the second time Dumb F@&$ Chuck has done this in as many months. Second, the most endangered Senators could have gone home, with the rest of Dems continuing to fight on in DC⌠we just fought a brutal confirmation battle in which a partisan hack and sexual abuser ascended to the highest court in our country⌠At least make them work for these deplorable judges. Disheartening does not even come close to Schumerâs antics⌠Really not sure what side Chuck is on.
