We are 100% behind Trump’s rubber stamp for every batshit crazy dream we have tried to go after for decades.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said Monday that congressional Republicans’ agenda “is exactly the same as the Trump agenda.”

Dear Sen. Manson,

Thanks for carving “Trump” into your forehead with a pen knife.

It makes things so much easier come 2018.

Sincerely,
The American Majority

All those reassurances from the Republican leadership before the election - relax, we can control Trump - were lies.

“Exactly the same as the Trump Agenda.” Every Democrat running in open formerly GOP seats over the next couple of months needs to plaster the airwaves with that statement.

“I think for virtually all Republicans, the chance to actually do things we felt would move the country in the right direction and have the President sign them into law is a pretty exciting prospect, so we’re looking forward to a positive, upbeat presentation tomorrow night,” McConnell said, “and then proceeding with our agenda, which is exactly the same as the Trump agenda.”

I understand why he said this, but I don’t understand why he said it out loud.

Yeah as if we hadn’t known. Turtle said that on camera, right?

Let’s make sure that will bite him in the ass in 2018, and 2020.

Thank you for the 2018 bumper sticker!

I don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer, but today I’ve come to the conclusion that the country we knew is in the past. Even if Democrats win bigly, we’re not going to go back to any semblance of what we were. Thank you Republicans and thank you Donald Trump.

I understand why he said it ('rah, rah team),but is he really sure that these protests are going to just go away?

Especially with 45 always being 45.

The bald-faced-ness of this surprises me. Wait until it appears in ads across the country next year …

The most vile, craven, and overtly cynical politician of my lifetime.
There’s a reason George W. Bush went out of his way to expose this piece of shit in the former President’s memoirs.

In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king. With his forty percent approval rating Trump is infinitely more popular than congressional Republicans so it makes some degree of sense for McConnell to put out for him. Still won’t save the GOP from utter destruction in the 2018 midterms when Trump’s incompetence and inability to deliver on his incoherent campaign rhetoric catches up with him. Remember the fate that befell the Democrats in 2010 and they were tied to a president running on hope and aspiration as opposed to fear and rage.

I’m sorry to say I think you’re right and it is tragic. The Trump supporters will have to suffer serious pain, which means pain for the rest of us too, for a sane Republican party not to be an oxymoron. If they do get wiped out next year (ugh, I’m superstitious about even mentioning it), we might see some “moderates” arise. But until the putrid boils that constitute right-wing media are gone, it’s hopeless.

Unfortunately, when the Trumpkins feel pain the Twitler in Chief will simply aim their anger at some minority group… it’s the illegals… it’s the Muslims… it’s those gays that got all gay-married and are asking for cakes.
