I really don’t understand why politicians are so willing to sacrifice their dignity to stand with a colleague who’s so undeserving of support. I wouldn’t want “stands with racist” on my tombstone.
I suppose it’s ends justifying the means, but with Trump, who can even know what the ends are?

Why are all of these GOP leaders prostrating themselves before what they know to be a dangerous demagogue? They are just proving that they are weak – and as immoral as Trump. McDonnell thinks he’s playing it safe – but the man just sunk even lower than ever.

First, let’s not forget Bob Corker making a fool of himself on ABC saying, among other things, Trump “will bring maturity” to foreign policy…
But, Mitch’s act is a bit more polished…the lavender hair, the silk tie, the solid gold cuff-links and the gangster suit don’t sit well on the once sickly boy from Louisville…if unpalatable and, more to the point, irrational.
Corker was more fun to watch…, gulping, moist eyes bulging…and it is clear the Trump nose filters are not removing the stench.

Unfortunately McConnell is not exactly insane. Instead, he’s the typical racist nasty liar that characterizes the GOP. At least with clinical insanity, he’d have an excuse for his cowardice and support of a guy who’ll take him down along with his collapsing GOP. Couldn’t happen to a worse human being. I want to see McConnell crash and burn, whether in congress or at home, in bed he made and is cowering in.
Mitch’s good friend John of AZ is tying himself into knots trying to show allegiance to the party to get reelected by supporting the nominee who has no name and simultaneously trying to distance himself from that nominee because he’s toxic within the Latino population of of AZ. These are not parallel tracks and with any luck he’ll fail at it.
