That McConnell felt compelled to make that speech means he is worried that this nomination won’t make it to next week. The preemptive smear was required to keep some of his caucus in line. Remember he can only lose 2 votes. There are 6 Republicans running in purple states. They, along with Ted Cruz, have to be worried.
Part of my retirement plan is to visit the graves of two individuals, after they pass, and piss on them. Those two individuals are Dick Cheney and Mitch McConnell. They are both of the devil and deserve to be shunned and driven from polite society. Their deaths should become national holidays.
Knowing there are additional charges this unethical distasteful weak minded GOP leader once again shows how far off the rails we are and the possibility he will get away with it shows we as a country (not just the politicians) are following that derailed train right into the river.
Spend the next 7 weeks (that is 47 days) working to elect a democratic house and senate. Make sure that McConnell can not further damage the us.

As NC Steve said on another thread, how plausible is it that a well-respected researcher would take on the kind of risk she has just to smear someone?
