Oh! Wow! I just looked out of my office window and a herd of pigs just flew by!!

“Well, what you need to understand is that there are 25 million Americans who aren’t covered now. If the idea behind Obamacare was to get everyone covered, that’s one of the many failures,” McConnell said.

And that is due to YOU, Mitch. 1, for John Roberts making Medicaid expansion optional. 2, for Republican governors taking him up on it and not expanding. 3, for obstructing all improvements to ACA; number 1 improvement to increase insured rate would be additional subsidies for those who make more that 400 FPL but for whom coverage is still not affordable, mostly people in older age bands.

ACA was already a compromise. Dems need to make clear that, if the Reps repeal first, our negotiating position starts with single payer. We’ll consider full reinstatement, but only if they throw in a public option.

This is a lie. Obama never promised universal coverage.

It’s been 6 years, how is it you don’t have a replacement already? SAD!

‘Today is the 9th…hmmm.’

They could never agree on one and folks have to remember that both the House and Senate GOP leadership saw themselves as the opposition in '17. #whoops #skipday

Try to imagine a piece of legislation that covers everybody that’s currently covered plus the 25 million McConnell makes reference to, with the caveat that this piece of legislation:

  1. Cannot contain a mandate to purchase insurance
  2. Must tell insurers to take people with pre-existing conditions
  3. Must keep the health insurance industry fully privatized, with no public option
  4. Must allow states to choose whether or not to opt into it or not
  5. Cannot contain any insurance industry regulations
  6. Must be crafted as quickly as possible
  7. Cannot raise any taxes

This is what Republicans have tasked themselves to do. And it’s why it’s been almost 7 years and they’ve got virtually nothing.

“Rapidly, soon, quickly, very quickly.” Project Management 101 says you develop a timeline with objective target dates - not, Oh we’ll do it when we get around to it soon. The Earth is 4.5 billion years old, so 100 years would be quickly, relatively speaking.

Exactly, with one caveat - the House-passed public option WAS the compromise, already. Obamacare was a further compromise of the already-compromised bill. Shows was starting negotiations on the 50-yard line will get you…

“Senator Paul’s bill” - but McConnell just flat-out slammed Paul for NOT having a bill. A shot across the bow, IMO - torpedo any R who publicly questions the dead-eyed granny starver on this…

It’s not 4.5 billion years old in Jesus Land and very soon doesn’t help people that need the coverage they have right now.

Conservatives are idiots.

It’s just an anagram anyways. Replace the ACA with KAOS and let the healing begin.

OT but about McConnell----

Since he’s trying to force TrumPutin’s nominees through without proper vetting procedures, it is well to look at his demands concerning Obama’s nominees:

If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided to you…

If you cannot afford a doctor, well, sucks to be you!
