Is there another demographic, in the entire ‘developed world’, that so consistently votes against it’s own best interest? I cannot think of one.

The budget losses due to the tax bill are starting a down turn in the economy, then the higher expenses, especially military, and now the National Guard at the Mexico boarder, more unplanned expenses. Higher gasoline prices – and all just in time for the mid-terms~
How’s about fire Pruitt, that will save a lot, (the 20-person security detail 24/7 costs) and stop taking trips to Mar-a-lago after that gruelling 4-day work week of 3-hours per day that is non-“executive time”. Save the costs of Air Force 1, save the costs secret service at Mar-a-lago… just would be a few million right there, but it is total waste, and would be nice for symbolic reasons.
As epicurus said “the tax cuts aren’t going to pay for themselves” – and as we all know the trickle down isn’t working again.
Gee, no wonder Trump made McConnell’s wife a cabinet secretary.

She has a hell of a resume and mitch would probably be nothing without her.
Plus those chinese and american tankers and cargo ships passing each other on the trip back and forth to china helps with her families connections.
