Discussion: McConnell: Intel Committee Should Probe Report On Rice Unmasking

Please do, sir.

First piece of evidence is the job description of the head of the NSA.

Witnesses on the docket - the folks who have already served in this position (with the exception of anyone related to Flynn).

Go ahead. Make my day.

Oh, and these have to be broadcast on all the major networks - not just C-Span - live and unedited. That will cement your legacy for history, sir.

Sure, and when the Senate committee quickly finds no smoke nor fire, what 1/2 azzed concoction of ‘Obama did something’ will they think of next?

Their efforts at deflection from the traitorous team in the White House seem doomed to failure, just like Trump’s entire agenda.

McConnell actively seeking to have Trump impeached? Okay.

Mitch and Paul Ryan know that their legacy as Congressional leaders is going to be one of horrific incompetence.

What a sh*tty last thought to have as you drift off into la-la land knowing tomorrow will be another day sucking donkeydicks. and needing to smile doing it.

Distract, distort, dissemble and deceive. The Republican mantra.

The whole SCOTUS nom thing reminds me of just how incredibly powerful Mitch McConnell has made himself. He really is the Big Cheese in DC. Nothing NOTHING happens without him. And he at least projects the ability to do as he pleases (except limit Obama to one term.)

It’s weird because besides “Making himself the most powerful person in the country” I couldn’t tell you what he actually wants or believes about anything.

You can try to keep working it, Mitch, for all the good it will do you. You ask me, you’re heading for the canyon floor, there’s nothing you can do about it, and the best thing to do is just go limp. Might even survive, I don’t know.

as if the republicons hadn’t played this tune a million times before.

but like the point i made earlier WHERE is the democrats push back?

and quickly to john judis’s editorial regarding the disillusioned puppet voter who somehow is upset now that he realizes he didnt have the brains a few months ago that he woke up with today when he figured out it is going to COST him 10k more for health care and for supporting a con man/liar because he cant stand democrats for some reason judis doesn’t make clear.

he does like so many others tell us how we need to be sympathetic to the poor guy because…BECAUSE?
well…it seems we owe the guy for not being a racist!

well…mr judis…i TOO have spoken to several puppet voters and they all have one thing in common…they voted for the puppet because they were tired of seeing those OTHERS getting things from the government that they were not getting.

now YOU can claim that isnt racism all you want…but when the next point those trump voters make is that he is RIGHT TO KEEP THEM FROM COMING INTO OUR COUNTRY…i think it would be in your interest to spend your sympathy somewhere else.

This should come as no surprise. Its quite obvious that going after Rice for unmasking (doing her job) and trying to paint it as some nefarious evil was a strategy that was laid out a long time ago. Witness the public hearings of the Director of the FBI and Head of the NSA. The spent an inordinate amount of time focusing on…masking and unmasking. Then Nunes Wild Ride episode…the chief beef about it being…unmasking. Then the hit piece drudged up out of the right wing fever swamps on Rice (who has long been a favorite target of the RWNJs).

But instead of just juggling chainsaws this time, now they are juggling unstable, lit dynamite. Because going here immediately raises the issue that so many Trumpers were involved in so many illicit dealings with Russian agents.

Its the lawyer attempting to argue it was the house owner’s fault that his client got arrested for burglary because the house owner installed a burglar alarm.

Mitch I would be very careful about what you wish for.

That’s a mistake, Mitch; and here’s why-

Russian agent Boris spoke with American contact designated John Doe #17
Russian agent Natasha spoke with American contact designated John Doe #17
Russian agent Svetlana spoke with American contact designated John Doe #17
Russian agent Ivan spoke with American contact designated John Doe #17
Russian agent Rasputin spoke with American contact designated John Doe #17

NSC Advisor Rice to Intelligence Briefer: “Why do all these different Russian Agents keep talking to the same American? Who is this person and do they have access to classified materials?”

Intelligence Briefer to Rice: “Their American contact is Michael Flynn. Our preliminary investigation shows he has received in total more than $2 million in unreported income from various Russian Front agencies."

Is this really the conversation you want the Intelligence Committee and the American People to see?

Taxpayers should not be forking over our hard earned money to career politicians so they can waste time “investigating” every innuendo dreamed up by professional producers of fake news.

Susan Rice is a dedicated civil servant who has been assaulted by political thugs for no other reason than they happened to pick her out of a crowd, and decided to smear her reputation…

To help Russian intelligence assets within the United States government.

How is it wrong to do that? Never heard a word from him about the Russia thing. Or downplaying it until outcry forced their hand. They should still have an independent committee.

This seems like something that she would be in her rights to do. As, if they were talking to people doing questionable things than they could well be guilty too. I fail to see how that is even a little controversial. And it would be something that would be the right of others to know about.

It is a bit ironic that this worry about privacy comes from a GOP that stripped internet privacy rights away.

On a completely seperate note…

Why is their no article about Merkley’s stand on the floor of the Senate? The man just completed his 15th hour and has been banging it out of the park all night long.

Whatever you say, Mitch…

Why, geez, it’s almost like these GOP clowns are reading from a script of coordinated talking points in their desperation to change the subject or something. Weird, huh?

Of course, Mitch was the one who threw a temper tantrum so the FBI wouldn’t announce before the election that the Trump campaign was under investigation for its Russian ties, and viola! – like magic, Mitch’s wife then gets a Trump cabinet position. McConnell, Nunes, Ryan – they’re ALL up to their necks in borsht.
