On 10/16/2018, I asked McConnell if an AG nominee to replace Jeff Sessions must commit to protecting the Mueller probe in order to get his support. He wouldn’t get into it, saying he wants the investigation to be completed but that he doesn’t have advice for Trump on who to pick.

Um, isn’t the Senate responsible for giving advice and consent regarding the President’s cabinet appointments?
