Republicans need to realize that until we have bipartisan immigration reform and ICE stops acting like a bunch of thugs, they are not going to be able to eat out. The chant should be “DO YOUR JOB.”

Another uplifting story of restauranting in Louisville. How I miss Ali, and how great it would be to have his voice right now.

Oprah: Your brother said that when you came home after winning the Olympic gold in 1960, you were refused service at a restaurant in Louisville.

Muhammad Ali: I walked in and tried to order two hamburgers, and I was told, “We don’t serve Negroes.” I said, “Good—because I don’t eat them either.”

Hey Mitch, if you want Italian, you might as well contact your right wing buddy, Papa John.

Maybe the driver will be a WASP and not spit on your Pepperoni.

The funny thing is that the first protest was at a restaurant my good friend manages. I’m literally in there like 3-4 times a month. It’s a local chain and Louisville staple. No more green chili wantons for Ditch.

A little background…Mitch lives in the Highlands which is probably one of the most liberal neighborhoods in the Mid South. Tons of #BlackLivesMatter signs in the front yards of well off white people. It’s very eclectic, Bohemian, and a mix of everything from the uber wealthy to dirt poor. It’s where most of the best local restaurants are located. I’ve long had theories as to why McConnell chooses to live around people who hate him, but now that this has begun it’s really going to be hard for him to enjoy a decent meal in the Ville. The restaurant community here is unapologetically liberal. I’m friends with several local chefs, and let’s just say I know for fact that there are about a dozen well respected restaurants that are already discussing what to do if he shows up. Also, again, this is the Highlands, probably the most activist, liberal area south of Chicago, north of Atlanta. There are text and FB messaging groups on the lookout for McConnell. He needs to either eat at home or go back home to DC.

Mitch sure is going out to dinner locally (in hipster neighborhoods) more this last week than he has in the past 30 years.
Strange that.

Heh, green chili wantons…no one makes them like Bristol does, though they try.

I think it’s kind of odd that Mitch is hitting the Highlands and Germantown for his dining out decisions these days. I find him going out amongst the general public to be off his normal routine for that matter.

All restaurants can refuse service to anyone. Ergo any restaurant that serves these people are complicit.

Personal note to Stephen Miller: Come on over for a fugu dinner.

Yertle has a sad. He may have to crawl back in his shell.

Wow, McTurtleMcFuckFace could have pulled into his shell and finished his dinner, but not even that bony shield was enough to make him feel safe, apparently. Instead, he ran. Who knew turtles could run that fast?

Relatedly. As expected, Florida, Indiana, and North Dakota are among the toughest races now.
