Discussion: McConnell: Bill Blocking Trump From Easing Russia Sanctions Not 'Necessary'

McConnell is also an old school racist. His desire to make Obama a one term President stemmed from skin color and the desire to see this upstart fail.
And yes McConnell is ruthless and loves power.

Even if not necessary, wouldn’t hurt, would it, McTurtle?

I agree that McConnell is a brilliant tactical thinker. The traditional rap on him is he doesn’t do strategy very well. Maybe I need to reexamine McConnell’s strategic vision.

Anything is possible when you look at the election hacking as part of an overall influence scheme. But that photo they keep showing of Flynn and Putin at the RT conference? Jill Stein is seated at the same table. This is not a coincidence. Was that a message to Clinton about what was coming for her? Who knows. It didn’t have nothing to do with the upcoming election.

Famous last words:

He was one of the most respected intel officers of his generation. Now he’s leading ā€˜Lock her up’ chants

… He said he used the visit to press for collaboration on Syria, Iran and the Middle East, and dismissed the ensuing controversy as ā€œboring.ā€ Asked why he would want to be so closely associated with a Kremlin propaganda platform, Flynn said he sees no distinction between RT and other news outlets.

Flynn, center left, sits next to Russian President Vladimir Putin at an event last year to mark the Kremlin-controlled RT television network’s 10th anniversary. (Michael Klimentyev/Sputnik via Associated Press)

because cooperating with Putin and Assad is a boring controversy. True dat.

Here’s what has me scratching my head: I haven’t yet figured out how all of this is Obama’s fault.

Edit (several hours later): In today’s press conference, the so-called President *did * play the ā€œIt’s Obama’s Fault!ā€ card, saying that his predecessor left him with ā€œa mess.ā€

Amazing.

Flashback:

ā€œWell, one thing I’m pretty calm about is that this is nowhere near the most divisive period in American history, but what protects us in this country against big mistakes being made is the structure, the Constitution, the institutions."

McConnell is trying to improve his chances of being voted into The Political Hall of Shame on the first ballot. He need not worry- his attempts to undermine and delegitimize President Obama have burnished his qualifications as a treacherous partisan hack. Combined with his total commitment to serve as President Trump’s official poodle, he has the pedigree to go into the Political Hall of Shame on the first ballot by acclamation.

Very possible, or Trump is being used as a conduit.

There were all these bizarre money laundering scandals in the eighties a la Scarface. People were going into First National Bank of Boston literally with suitcases full of cash. They were threatening bankers and their families. It was insane, but as long as these criminals had cash, the bank had time for them. It was clearly illegal, banks took the hit. It was clearly dangerous, they took the chance. Bankers like money, any kind of money. And these kinds of customers don’t complain or sue.

And it wouldn’t have to be drugs, any source of quiet money could be translated from grubby useless cash to a legit real estate asset.

I read a book about the NY mob by a writer named Guy Talese. He pretty much said straight out that one of the NY crime families owned the Chrysler Building. Not a joke.

ā€œWe believe we can still cover it up without outside help,ā€ McConnell said.

ā€œI don’t think that’s necessary at this point,ā€

If there’s even a question of whether it may become necessary at some point in the future, you’ve already arrived in Shitshowville.

[/quote]So far:

Crimea, Obama allowed this to be seized
ISIS Syria Putin Assad, Obama invented ISIS, Clinton founded it
The leaks, Obama loyalists are sabotaging the new president

It’s all coming.

Maddow had some interesting thoughts on Jill Stein and Putin that for some reason she would never say on her own show.
