I called Schumer’s office a few minutes ago to thank him for vowing to hold the line. No appointments until Obama gets his! It’d be nice to hear Manchin, Heidtkamp, etc. laughing publicly at McConnell’s rancid hypocrisy.

You mean the 46% minority of Americans many of whom may have voted for a more conservative SCt pick than Garland or the 48.2% who voted for a more progressive SCt pick than Garland?
Edit: Given the illegitimacy of Trump, it is only fair to wait until voters weigh in four years from now.

Dude, you have far bigger worries about what Americans “Will not Tolerate” that are planned to be flying through your party in congress: Cutting back Social Security and raising the retirement age to 69; voucherizing Medicare aka sucking out $ for benefits for profits for insurance companies; Repealing Obama Care without a replacement; and the inevitable changing tax codes to further give massive tax cuts to the very wealthy resulting in further erosion of services and higher tax burdens for the middle and lower earners.
With the frontal assault your party is about to engage in (as members have been broadcasting their intentions) on most American’s lives - directly - you think that Americans are going to be more outraged and act on blocking an extreme SCOTUS nomination (the preface was the block would be for extremist nominations)?
Your tribal colors are showing - and all can see that for a long time you have served party interest (it is lucrative for you, after all) over national interest.

You guys said to “let the people decide” by who they voted for to be President. “The people” voted for Hillary Clinton by about a 3 million vote majority. So I assume, Mitch, that you will call Hillary and ask for the name of her nominee and bring this to a quick confirmation vote.
