Discussion: McCaskill Scarborough Wilson

Discussion for article #230280

getting that soundbite is all that matters … something that can be replayed endlessly; taken out of context; (mis)used as the essence of what the issue is all about… this is what the media has become.

Welcome to Alison Grimes world Senator McCaskill.

If you want to know specifically about the man and his family, don’t ask ‘how should Missouri residents move forward’, ask about the man and his family. If someone doesn’t read your mind the first time, don’t get mad at them because you are incapable of communicating your question.

Does Joe care about Brown’s family?

Says the Senator:

“There is absolutely no excuse for people threatening violence in this issue.”

She needs to talk to Governor Nixon.

Scarborough’s question is really bizarre, since he seems to think that the condition to not receiving death threats is not being indicted.

I am sure he doesn’t realize, or at least I hope he doesn’t, that the converse of that statement is that it’s OK to give death threats if he were indicted.

It’s never OK to make death threats against a person. Ever. McCaskill gets that, and so didn’t seem to need to say it.

That said, you don’t have to be indicted to have done something wrong and pay a price. Police officers have gotten suspended, demoted, put on desk duty, fired and lots of other things without getting indicted for a criminal offense. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t do anything wrong and get to “have their life back.”

If anyone still believes that the DLC strategy of moving to the center works for Democrats, the Nixon-McCaskill strategy should put that to rest. Anyone know where the center is on this one folks?

“'Respect him, and if he’s acquitted then stay the hell away from him”

And how exactly do people stay away from a police officer hunting them in their neighborhood?

Looks like Joe and his ilk can’t wait to get Wilson back on the street again locked and loaded.

“Claire, I’m talking specifically about this man and his family who’ve had dollar prices placed on their heads by extremist organizations. Can you just come out and say, ‘Respect him, and
if he’s acquitted then stay the hell away from him and stay the hell
away from his family?’”

What did the cable personality and alleged intern-killer say about Traditionalist American Knights of the KKK that threatened to use “lethal force” against Ferguson protesters?

What did he say about the guy from Tennessee who has raised over $3,000 to place a billboard in Ferguson saying, “#PantsUPDontLoot”?

What did he say about the Ferguson police officer who ordered a woman into the boiler room of the city jail and ordering her to provide oral sex before raping her?

Not a thing. Neither did Claire. That would be called defending the base.

To be fair the alleged rapist was reported to be a corrections officer, although after he’s finished giving his version of events in testimony before the grand jury he will exonerated and promoted.

" . . . if he is acquitted, does he get his life back?"

DId OJ get “his life back” after a real jury acquittal?

Wilson is gonna ride fame into Fortune.

“Well, no, it’s not obvious,”

That’s because you’re a fucking retard.

Sorry, but it had to be said.
