Let me keep this simple…
Jean Valjean had “access” to bread. What he didn’t have was the means to make the purchase of bread.
I have “access” to virtually any new car and can even test drive it. However, if I don’t also have the means to purchase the car, I cannot have the car.
This is not rocket science and I hope the Dems can come up with effective soundbites and start shouting this from every media platform possible!
Saying that “increased access” is what americans need is like saying that what a country having a famine needs is more restaurants. So long as the people cannot afford the insurance, “access” is meaningless.

I expect nothing less from these asswipes. They know that their plan will straight-up kill people. They know this and they simply don’t care what the CBO says. Facts are irrelevant. Data inconsequential. They have a goal to shift wealth upward and will say whatever they can to make that happen. Everything else is a meaningless. Hopefully the CBO score will move the rest of the country to oppose them.
During the Irish potato famine, the Irish plain folk had access to food, but sadly couldn’t afford to purchase it. And even more sadly, many of their descendents who IMMIGRATED here, and are now members of the GOP, never absorbed the history of their own forebears. Sad^4th power.
This is it, folks. This is the GOP bill.

There won’t be a phase 2 or 3, because those would face a filibuster and Democrats won’t go along with this atrocity.
This is what they hope to get accomplished through reconciliation. And then, blame Democrats for obstructing their wonderful plans for phase 2 and 3.
And let’s not forget coverage, so it may look like bread but how much is sawdust and how much is flour?
Increase access to high priced emergency rooms for runny noses and flu shots. Yep, that’ll save money.
All of this to get us back to where we started without any benefit from the journey.

Access is not a great word to be tossing about wildly.
ER care is not free. Just because they cannot turn you down does not mean you won’t have your credit ruined when you cannot pay the exorbitant bill.
