Discussion: McCarthy Accuses Nadler Of Trying To Make Barr 'Break The Law' With Subpoena

“they’re simply asking Barr to help them make that request to the courts.”

Going to court doesn’t always mean you’re a criminal. Sometims it’s just a necessary part of a legal process to get the truth.
Why are rethugs so terrified of the court and law as if they were from some primitive society where the sole purpose of law is to threaten and punish people?

Isn’t he breaking the law by refusing the request of the subpoena? Someone help me out here.

“But he hasn’t even gone to read it while trying to hold the attorney general in contempt,” McCarthy complained. “He’s asking him to break the law.”

This guy is truly dumber than a pithed frog. Sure looks like the folks in Bakersfield are politically partial to the extreme left … edge of the bell curve.

What law, precisely is McCarthy referring to? Natural Selection? Gravity?

Barr would not be breaking the Law, all Barr needed to do was go in front of a judge and ask that the grand jury testimony be release, as the department of Justice has done thousands of times. William Barr is just covering up the Crimes that Donald Trump and members of his campaign committed. This will come out, and Barr needs to be charged with a coverup and disbarred.

So why are Republicans so afraid of releasing the redacted material, the underlying information, and the Grand Jury testimony? After all, Trump was clearly exonerated according to Barr. So let at least the Judiciary Committee see it, if not the public as well. Again, what’s there to be afraid of? The process to do that is clear.

What a disingenuous piece of shit McCarthy is. I’m so old that I remember, oh, less than a year ago, when these fucking Republicans in charge of these same House committees were threatening the FBI and the DoJ with contempt of Congress if they didn’t turn over underlying and supporting documents on those reports even before Mueller had finished his investigation, including ones over Hillary’s emails I believe…and Chris Wray did to the chagrin of many of us because the investigation was still in process and ongoing. Does everyone in the fucking country suddenly have amnesia now? This goon needs to be gone. Hare today, goon tomorrow. One of California’s remaining GOoper assholes.

Kern County’s dumbest Republican and his next-door-neighbor, Tulare County’s dumbest (Devin-Cow-Nunes). If it wasn’t for these two- California would be almost totally Blue.

They figure prominently in the dumbbell curve, though.

The reason stupid shit like this keeps coming out of Republican mouths on MSM is because MSM interviewers are fucking useless. By playing the old above-the-fray game of gentle journalism, they enable the dumbfucks and assholes like McCarthy, and thereby help destroy democracy. It is pathetic that MSM interviewers are wholly incapable of intelligently interviewing, let alone eviscerating, the assholes on air. Part of that is structural: they want the ratings, they want the guests, so don’t piss off the bad buys. Thus, on-air interviewers and their ilk are guilty as enablers of authoritarianism.

Fix the fucking journalism schools.
