"ā€œIf we’re really going to get to the bottom of these thingsā€¦ā€

And who in the Republican Party wants to get to the bottom of things, besides McCain? Graham? Maybe? Flake? Possibly. Sasse? Likely. Anyone else?

Collins, probably. It doesn’t seem she has been as publicly vocal as Graham, but she is not in the kill-this-investigation camp either.

Once again, if McCain, Sasse, Graham or Flake want to make a loud, and resounding statement right now, they will leave the republicans, and come over to the dems. that would make the senate 50/50. Until that happens, this is all just pointless noise and posturing.

They keep watching polls (the base’s numbers). That’s for sure…

ā€œThis is why we need a select committee,ā€ he said. ā€œEvery time we turn around another shoe drops from this centipede.ā€

Very good, Johnny. Very good.

No, Senator McCain, we don’t need a select committee of members of Congress. We need an independent special prosecutor, as there is clearly enough circumstantial evidence of criminal activity on the part of the ā€œAdministration.ā€ The only question is who will have the courage to call for such an appointment? We clearly can’t trust Sessions to do so. This whole mess stinks.

Which just casts more doubt on a Senate probe involving you and Lindsey, the most spineless members of the Senate. Paper lions, roaring loudly when it’s irrelevant, then cowering when it comes time to take a stand.

I think we’re supposed to blame some Indian guy named ā€œDeepā€ over in State. He did it I guess.

Well, they certainly should be watching the poll numbers! When Rasmussen has Orange at his lowest approval and highest disapproval numbers yet, they should be quite eager to put plenty of daylight between themselves and Putin’s Puppet.

I think they are still worried about numbers from the Trumpet base. Seems it has started eroding, and I think if this trend continues their tone will likely start shifting little by little (although there is no backpedaling for some GOPers who are gone too far).

60%+ votes in the GOP primaries went to Trump + Cruz, though, and that part still seems to be mostly behind Trump… not enough for them yet, it seems.

That was the point, John. Which part of being Republican do you not understand - the part about putting Profits over People, the part about putting Russia over America, or the part about putting Party over Country?

He for sure has a solid ā€œfool some of the people all of the timeā€ base for whom there will never be a tipping point. So did Manson. So did Jim Jones.

Nunes, a prime example without doubt. I fear though it still wouldn’t kill his career even if PeePee is tanked, impeached and indicted (unless Nunes himself is charged, that is).
