“I don’t like it, I just don’t,” McCain told Australian outlet ABC. “I know some administration officials are saying this is standard procedure. I don’t think it’s standard procedure prior to the inauguration of the President of the United States by someone who is not in an appointed position.”

Yes! It’s troubling! Concerning, even! And McCain is a Serious Person.

“But, when push comes to shove I’ll still be a reliable vote for Prez. Kompromat’s nominees, budget, tax reform and health care repeal.”

I’ve seen this tap dance far too many times to have any interest in it.

It’s like he has just one step that he repeats ad nauseam. You think that next step is coming, but it never does.

Just curious…why’s he saying this to an Australian news outlet. Doesn’t he get enough play on our Sunday morning shows playing the character of Washington Wise Man ™?

Au contrere, John frere. Kushner’s gambit is a “standard” by which future outrages can be measured–for treasonous intent.

Imagine that: we were promised “huge,” “amazing,” “tremendous” and “fantastic,” and now we can’t even get up to the level of “standard.” Somebody ought to be fired.

And if the Russians manage to take complete control of the U.S., McCain, Graham, Collins, Gorsuch and the rest of the GOP cabal will be vying with one another to see who is the most “distressed and heartbroken”. If only someone would have done something…

I admit that playing ‘connect-the-dots’ can be difficult, for instance, if the finished image turns out to be a shovel. Complex shape–
But to not connect point A to point B, you really are trying not to, eh?
When I think of McCain, I’m reminded of this friend who was looking at the diplomas on the wall of his dentist’s office. When he mentioned to his dentist he noticed he was ranked 712th in a graduating class of 712, the dentist shrugged philosophically and said, “Well, somebody has to come in last.”

Exactly how I feel about McCain et al. I’m tired of it.

I don’t think it’s standard procedure prior to the inauguration of the President of the United States by someone who is not in an appointed position

And it is NEVER standard procedure at ANY time by ANYONE to set up a clandestine channel using an adversary’s communication gear at its diplomatic facility to shield their communication from their own government. What is this old man talking about?

Funny you should mention that:

McCain graduated from the Naval Academy in June 1958; he was fifth from the bottom in class rank, 894th out of 899.

He’s dancing like crazy.

Asked about allies concerns’ about international security with Trump at the helm, McCain conceded that he was “nervous from time to time” , but praised the president’s national security team.

… and shocked. Shocked as in no one could imagine, anticipate or prevented these Russian operatives in the WH.

@daveminnj - you probably already know this but McCain ranked 4th or 5th from the bottom of his class of approx. 880 at the Naval Academy.

and @mattinpa beat me to it!

We may never be able to prove it but if the claim that Kushner suggested using secret Russian communication means he should be thrown out of the White House on his ass!

The GOP is a corpse of a political party in the last stages of putrefecation. And the carrion beetles are well in the way of finishing the work of decomposition.

Sure, but that doesn’t mean that some new zombie will arise, redolent with fascism and rue.
