Discussion: McCain Family Rips NRCC For Using Video Of Late Senator In Attack Ads

Wait a minute:

In one, McCain is seen criticizing Ann Kirkpatrick of Arizona because she “won’t oppose higher taxes, she won’t oppose more federal spending and she won’t oppose increased debts that slow economic growth.” The footage was apparently shot in 2016.

If increased debts slow economic growth, let’s ask the NRCC just what is heading our way in the wake of the massive debt ballooning tax cuts for the wealthy.

Sid McCrashcup died in office. So the Senate gives his family a tip — $174,000!

Yeah, that whole line is ridiculous today and had me laughing.

At this point, who doesn’t know the Repubs blew up the debt?
I also thought 85% of Repubs dislike McCain. How are these ads reaching out to conservatives?

Repubs like to play in the gutter.

I guess it’s not like SSI. Even if you die at the end of July, you don’t get your SSI check for that month.
Social Security payment month of death
We can’t pay benefits for the month of death. That means if the person died in July, the check received in August (which is payment for July) must be returned. … Family members may be eligible for Social Security survivors benefits when a person getting benefits dies.

They seldom attain such heights.

Clearly, the entire McCain family has no familiarity with the Republican Party.

Wow, bridges have been burnt within their party pretty good.

##Some animals are more equal than others.

I guess another way of looking at it is that this is like the life insurance some employers provide to their employees.

Can we get our deplorables discussion back. This is bottom barrel even for republicans.

They using McCain - of all people - to help turn out “the base”?

The same people who said: “McCain was a traitor!” In the very first comment on a Reich-wing website on the announcement of his death.
The same people who said: “Not a hero. He’s a TRAITOR. Big difference.”
The same people who said: “I’m sorry, but I can’t celebrate the life of a man who has done so much evil, He is burning in Hell right now, and receiving the due payment for his evil deeds.”
The same people who said: “McCain – making America suffer up until the end."
The same people who said: “Thanks for dying McCain! By far the best thing you ever did for America!!!”
The same people who said: “Good riddance to John McCain, the hypocritical, duplicitous monster. He’s voted to ensure the suffering and deaths of millions, and the world is a better place without him.”

That guy? Good luck. Idiots.

Heh. You lie in bed with the GOP, they carve lies into your corpse and take pictures next to it, and you find it upsetting.

But that’s debt created by tax cuts and increased military spending. That kind of debt is A ok and should not be talked about.

Don’t stop there, GOP. McCain had a lot to say (all day Sunday, every Sunday).

My mom died on June 30. Because she “lived out the month,” she (we) did not have to return the June payment. (Back in 2000.)

She died rather late in the day (Pacific time); don’t remember exactly when, but I’m pretty sure it was before 9PM…

The rule is SO petty.

One last “thank you” to our elderly. /s

I’m not one to disparage someone who is grieving but this does seem ridiculous. Our governing class really is clueless.

Another example of our clueless leaders on full display.

Classy.
