Well, regardless of the outcome, the depositions should be fun to read!
And the next massive payout from our tax-dollars thanks to Trump and his revenge fantasies.
Thereâs no way that McCabe loses this, and the government will offer a significant settlement to make it go away.
Excellent. I hope he wins big. Or, at least gets the pension he earned.
Is McCabe actually a liar?
McCabe authorized an F.B.I. spokesman and lawyer to speak to The WJ Journal
to rebut suggestions that he had put the brakes on the investigation.
These types of interactions between journalists and government officials
â known as âbackground callsâ â are common in all federal agencies and
administrations as officials try to correct inaccuracies or provide
details and nuance. The Journal printed a correction THAT WAS DAMAGING TO THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN and HELPED Trump. McCabe is suing the DOJ which reportedly wonât even provide the internal
guidelines that led to his dismissal. âIn a District of Columbia
court filing, McCabeâs lawyer David L. Snyder accused the Justice
Department, its Office of the Inspector General and the FBI of refusing
to âidentify the policies or procedures which applied to Mr. McCabeâs
dismissal and the proceedings which led to it,â referring to several
administrative documents.â
If McCabe was authorized to have an assistant make a correction to
reporting (which the OIG says he wasnât by dint of a âmedia policyâ the
DOJ refuses to identify could this entire McCabe punishment rest upon
the difference of interpretation of that policy and not âa lack of
candorâ.
âŚand if it does, is âlack of candorâ without âmens
rea of falsehoodâ, still be a crime as so many on the right
assert?
Right, anything that brings out more dirt on the Trump administration is a good thing.
Discovery should be interesting.
We know that Trumppâs political appointees and the people they hire are absolutely unable to follow regulations, policies, or procedures. McCabe will know how to sniff out all the problems.
So on the GOP side, McCain, GRAHAM!, Flake and Rubio all were told and none objected.
Graham. The coup man.
ETA. I screwed up. This is immigration gang of eight. Who knew there was more than one? Intelligence gang of 8 in 2017 was:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and the chairman and ranking member of the Senate Intelligence committee, Republican Sen. Richard Burr and Democrat Mark Warner respectively.
The House members include House Speaker Paul Ryan, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes and House Intelligence Ranking Member Adam Schiff.
Fuck these Goopers, including Graham, anyway.
It wonât get that far. It was pretty clear-cut that he was railroaded out for things that were common practice in the FBI, and which at most warranted a slap on the wrist, and all that at the behest of the tweeting monster screaming for his head.
The government will do a tally of the value of his pension between now and when he turns 57 (when I believe he is eligible for full benefits-- the firing only hit his ability to collect at 50), add in legal fees, maybe a bit extra for pain and suffering, and offer that as a settlement to make it go away.
I hope it is televised!
The modern day GOP were protecting their unexpected but winning investment.
Though we know differently, they likely thought that any probe info was going to be trivial, oops
But it also seems McCabe isnât necessarily interested in a settlement so much as he is an airing of the truth, so perhaps he wonât accept such a settlement.
Poor lying Jeff SessionsâŚhe perjured himself at least 3 times during his testimony to congress to get approved as Trumpâs 1st AG pick and later when called to clarify his original statements and answers. Sessions never should have been allowed to be AGâŚhe lied under oath as part of the Trump-Putin Russia cover-up.
McCabe has Sessions in his cross-hairsâŚSessions is going down as these court cases unfold and the evidence exposed to the public. Mueller will have no choice but to charge (subpoena) SessionsâŚsomething heâs trying to avoid doing a fellow Republican buddy.
The Government will try to settle; which would be the smart thing to do, especially in light of Trumpâs constant rain of prejudicial tweets inveighing against McCabe before he was terminated. The problem is Trump would see this as a win for McCabe, whom he hates. Itâs anyoneâs guess, whether or not Trump can be convinced to let this drop. The other problem for the government is that McCabe May be pissed off enough that heâll refuse.
Josh is right. I worked as a middle management Federal employee. Folks in the government will go out of their way to please the boss. Thereâs been absolutely no doubt in my mind since McCabe was fired that IG Horowitz was, as far as he was able, giving Trump the report that he wanted.
But, but, but⌠that was before the gelatinous lindsey pulled his head out of mccainâs ass and stuck it up the much larger ass of the abomination.
Lindsey Graham has been recruited by the Russians, in my opinion. I would not be surprised if the overtures came from Chuck Grassleyâs office, which was in contact with the American election rigging team at Russian intelligence headquarters throughout the election cycle.
I just got a flash of the stories that are going to come out after Moron leaves office. I mean, seriously - can you imagine? This is all the stuff coming out DURING. Itâs too overwhelming to actually contemplate.
I doubt it. Heâs a company man through and through. There would be a lot of dirty laundry from the FBI aired just in the Discovery phase, and I donât expect that he really wants to hurt the FBI.
Would expect theyâll make him the offer thatâs big enough to make him whole and heâll take it.
âŚTrump is a vindictive Prick
