So, AP decides that what party he belongs to isn’t news? (although, even without looking it up, I’ll still give 5:1 odds I can guess)
Actually, he’s a Democrat. Maybe, like in many locations, the mayoral elections and non-partisan (not D vs. R, so no party labels on the ballot)?

My city doesn’t have party affiliations either, but you can tell by the way they run things, all but one is a Republican. Terrible roads, schools and infrastructure. Great place for developers, hardly any regulations, but the taxes are cheap.
