A police report is at least one notch above rumor and innuendo. You face real consequences when you lie on a police report.
And yet people are stupid enough to file a false report. I’ll wait to hear Mom’s account. 
Truthfully this isn’t so much a story as the beginning of a story. An assignment editor would assign a reporter to work on this before publishing.
Of course not. I’m just saying that given who we’re dealing with here (Republicans) who are known liars and disinformation agents, the likely story is far different than what the right wing lawmaker’s account is. I’ll need rock hard facts not the word of a right wing asshole.

Thanks! That was the first obvious question in this story, and one that would seem to be easily answered. It is clearly a major disservice to the person being accused to post the story without this information.
Something doesn’t add up…Meas was just being a nice guy and tapped Mom on the shoulder…Mom ‘choked’ him and Meas is suing him for harassment…what am I missing?
Mom is an immigrant, or the child of recent immigrants. We should cut him some slack and explain that the appropriate way to do this kind of thing is to hire a mob lawyer to threaten a person. NEVER put your hands on them yourself.
So, the article has witnesses denying any assault and calling it a rough handshake. From that and Meas’ description, I am now visualizing a bro-hug with extra energy - the fist in his stomach is just their clasped hands and the choking is just Mom’s left hand pulling him in for a hug. Anyone else get the same idea?
Too much violence, not enough finesse. The way to make anyone in the Grumpy Old Party choke is just to make them eat another shovelful of their own lies.
Looks like the headline writing here may be mistaken. The local reporting seems to suggest that Meas is not only a former associate and close friend of Mom, but that he is challenging him not as a Republican but in a Democratic primary.
