It’s only repugnant if you stop and look at the intent of the request. If you ignore its true purpose, everything’s fine!
Hey! Look over there! Thank you. I just picked your pocket of all of your constitutional rights.
With even Kansas saying no to KKKobach, has there been any state vile and contemptible enough to have said yes, sure, you betcha?
TrumpWorld translation: “Maryland AG desperately trying to cover up massive voter fraud.”
Whatever happened to that Greg Phillips guy who Trump quoted and who claimed he would provide the names of the 3 million illegal voters who voted for Clinton. Back in January he said he needed a couple of months to get the information together,
Time’s up jackass!
I am so waiting to hear those sweet, sweet words from Mr. Mueller…
No state has followed the complete Kobach letter.
Its either just enough (which may still catch em a lawsuit) or nothing at all.
Well he could send the list anonymously to the Russians or cut out the middle man and send them directly to WikiLeaks.
I am of the belief that Trump should serve two terms - one as President, the other in a Federal pen.
Unfortunately President Pence (gulp) would pardon him.
Pence could only pardon for federal offenses. Trump’s biggest legal problems will be in New York state court.
A Special Counsel, the FBI, and 16 other intelligence agencies are currently investigating suspected Russian interference and possible tampering with our last elections. They are also investigating alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign team, many of whose members now hold significant positions in the Trump Administration. Now Trump’s bogus “Election Integrity Commission” is seeking to build a national database of all voters that includes personal information and at least partial social security numbers.
How much mischief, not to mention outright election tampering might Russia or anyone else be able to do were they in possession of such a database? Does anyone else smell a rat here?
Repugnant? How about illegal? Is not our vote supposed to be confidential? How can sending our personal information, including OUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS to this assclown vote suppression commission for them to, in turn, mishandle and, oh, yes, make public, possibly be legal?
I live in Florida and I’m willing to bet my governor, Rick Scott, has sent or is sending all the information to Kobach, plus some he probably forgot to demand.
While no state is supplying everything, Kabach asked for what’s publicly available from his list. Plenty of states have agreed to that.
No doubt Rick Scott will also ad a B.J. if requested to do so.
I emailed the Illinois State Board of Elections last week. Here is the response dated today–
The State Board of Elections has not yet received the request from the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity. Once it is received, it will be carefully reviewed and a response will be made in accordance with Illinois law.
Illinois law currently provides that Illinois’ centralized statewide voter registration list is not available to any person or entity other than to a state or local political committee for political purposes and other than to a governmental entity for a governmental purpose. We will be working with the Illinois Attorney General in formulating a response if/when the request is received.
i’m emailing the IL AG next.
