Mary’s never seen and oil or gas well or a check from an oil Co she didn’t like. Once of the reason I don’t give to the DNC is that twits like her will get some of my money.

This attack doesn’t so much bother me. It’s exactly the same sort of thing Grimes will have to do here in KY. Whether she believes it or not is irrelevant, you’re never going to get elected in either state opposing oil/coal. Might as well lean into it and use it to draw a contrast with the administration.
One of the things that puts me off about conservatives is the way they enforce ideological purity. That’s why there’s no such thing as a pro-choice Republican anymore. That 11th commandment was always bullshit.
That said, I’m not sure what she’s complaining about since oil and gas production has increased since Obama was sworn into office. She’s just pandering to her conservative constituents who think Obama is being mean to them.
Absolutely. Unfortunately, though, in some states you’ve got to play to those idiots. In KY, it’s mine safety laws designed to protect miners from being killed. Instead of appreciating a president that actually gives a shit about their lives and safety, miners have responded by being angry with Obama for taking their jobs. There’s something almost comical about folks in Louisiana and KY defending their wealthy bosses that put their lives in danger while railing against the people who try to pass legislation to protect them.
I boycott DSCC as opposed to the DNC, since Senators tend to be the most powerful bad actors in Congress. I donate directly to worthy Senate candidates. In other words, thanks for nothing in Texas last time you bunch of toothless DSCC boobs.
Obama will probably forgive her if she gets reelected! Clean the tire marks from his suit and all’ll be fine.
