A pardon won’t change anything. Hanging over this are LOTS more charges that have not been withdrawn, only suspended. And that doesn’t count NY State charges. So none of this goes away if Donnie does a pardon. And, no, GOP held Congress isn’t going to impeach him. But neither will a Dem Congress; that would be a disaster, politically. So they will bracket him out of relevance, which they can largely do, and he will play hell getting any more controversial appointments passed. I know it doesn’t much feel like justice, but it is how we build a sustainable way back.

The overall agreement that Mueller struck with Manafort is pardon proof. Manafort testified this morning before a Grand Jury, on the specific evidence he has that bears on Trump’s dealings with Putin & Putin’s Russian cut-outs. The plea & cooperation agreement effects full forfeiture of much of Manafort’s property holdings, putting all that beyond presidential clemency power.
Mueller will not be submitting any report. The court filings do all of Mueller’s talking for him.
Mueller will not be indicting anyone between now and just after the coming mid-terms because Mueller, a REPUBLICAN, supervised by Rosenstein, a REPUBLICAN, fully intend to follow the DoJ guidelines in both letter and spirit.

At best things will be staggered allowing Pence to name a VP from a list of acceptable individuals provided by the new democratic majority.

That would kill our 2020 chances. And the SC is leaving gerrymandering in place in case Rrpubs recover before then. (But they will kill it if dems do well in 2020
Trump can be charged once he leaves office. And it’s looking more likely that he’ll only serve one term, so those indictments are slightly more than two years away now.
I fully expected trump to pardon Manafort but then there’s this plea deal that looks like Manafort has to spill the beans to Mueller in order to avoid a second trial. I was sure there was a fix in that made ol Paulie invulnerable. Not now.

I never read or watch FOX, but this weekend I am going to purchase some alcoholic libations and watch Sean Hannity, Rudolph Giuliani, Allen Dershowitz, Joseph De Genova, Jeanine Pirro, Andrew Napolitano, Bernie Goldberg, Lou Dobbs and Tucker Carlson all lose their collective shit. I almost wish Bill O’Reilly was still there to watch him lose his shit.
