And I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn I’d sell you at a real good price.

Mark what down? That they lied again and wont be held accountable for lying as usual?

Ah, so it IS just a name change in the works. Thought so.

Trump: Of course that is true. Why would anyone, I mean anyone lose coverage? It will just cost you. It may be $5000 per month for a family but you will get it. Insurance isn’t a right but a privilege.

Paul Ryan is incapable of telling the truth or keeping his word, remember the ACA ends Jan. 20.

Correction from @SpeakerRyan’s office: comments re “no one worse off” just apply to transition period, not eventual replacement plan.

Oh, good, I feel better now. Knowing I'll ***EVENTUALLY*** be worse off has taken a load off my mind.

Really, the GOP needs to recognize it’s over-reaching on Obamacare “repeal and replace” and just stop the bleeding. There is no guarantee that the GOP can even deliver any legislative bill, and certainly no guarantee that Trump would stand by them no matter what was in it.

My advice is the “Look - Squirrel” approach and it’s plausible. What with the new details of the Russians’ brazen attack on the US elections, use the cybersecurity crisis – a national defense and sovereignty issue!!! – as an over-riding concern for Congress. Save the country (a legitimate concern). Devote all your attention and resources to this crisis NOW and we’ll get back to you on ObamaCare. Buy yourselves a year, just for self-preservation.

And, by the way, I hope the GOP fails to ever deliver on that “repeal and replace” promise.

They’re probably prepared to compromise and deliver on just 50% of that promise.

I’d like to take this time to thank TPM and Josh Marshall for keeping up on this story (for years already and for years to come, I guess). Thank you, folks.

As someone who is physically disabled, unable to work, rely solely on Medicare for my healthcare and SSDI for all of my income, I am really concerned, scared actually, for my prospects after this fiscal year. Without our current social safety net, I would be dead. Seriously, I would be dead. My last few years would likely have been spent on the streets, begging for food and trying to find shelter. There are countless thousands–if not millions–more just like me or worse off, in addition to poor elderly. Also, I’d like to point out that our numbers would overwhelm private and religious institutions dedicated to helping us. Personally, I am not a religious person and do not at all feel comfortable–nor do I want–to seek any assistance with religion-based organizations. Again, there are many hundreds of thousands if not millions more just like me when it comes to religious groups.

Back to my original point: I just want to point out to those who visit this site regularly and rely on it for keeping up to date on the hardcore politics of the day, TPM is one of those rare sites that is worthy of your subscription dollars. I live on gnat ass-tight budgets every month, but I’ve made a point of supporting the kind of journalism that will prove invaluable if we’re ever to save this nation from the proudly uneducated and profoundly incurious. Thank you.

The fact that they even have to claim this at all is an admission that the ACA provided coverage for millions of new insureds. Period. The Dems should be out there stuffing this admission right up their asses…but…predictably…they aren’t.

That’s how she looks inside: no feelings, no heart, no soul. Utterly dead. Or consider this her “Dorian Gray Portrait” .

Two skanks and a “Ryno”…yeah, I believe them.

And what about Medicare? Trump said no cutbacks, Speaker Ryan wants to get rid of Medicare by July of this year.
Then do what Bush II failed to do. Privatize Social Security

Republicans have proven time and again that except for women’s private parts, they can’t legislate and much less govern. It baffles me that people keep voting for them election after election. My prediction is that they won’t be able to agree on anything. They may repeal Obamacare but will never come up with any other plan and we will end up back to where we’re before ACA.
Republicans are gutless, ignorant disgusting misogynistic liars and cowards and I despise them deeply.
