The woman in Texas that illegally cast one ballot got eight years. How many years will this guys that systematically committed electoral fraud will get, and yes Harris was in full acknowledge o corrupt activities, he has already admitted to other violations. This guy should not be seated even i he wins the redo.
The guy was a convicted felon (for voter fraud, no less) when Harris hired him and recommended him to others.
$34310 for “Reimbursement Payment for Bladen Absentee” and “Reimbursement Door to Door”. That works out to about $10 per vote stolen. So if Harris pays the bill does that make him a co-conspirator if he isn’t already?
Of course he does.
If the Repubs have any brains, they’ll find a way to replace him with someone else for the re-do.

Here’s the thing. At first it looked bad, but maybe just a normal campaign activity that was, unknown to the candidate, fraudulently conducted. But the more you think about it, the more we learn about it, the worse and worse it gets.
There’s the kind of fraud perpetrated against the candidate or the organization promoting registrations, where people are paid to do work they either blow off or just falsify. That’s rare, but not all that uncommon. There’s also the kind like that outfit TPM reported on a lot a decade or so ago, where the perpetrators made a business of recruiting turnkey “candidates” to put their name on the ballot in hopeless local races, raising money from unsuspecting out-of-state donors who didn’t realize that 99% of their money is paying for “consulting” fees.
But this is another level entirely. The risk of getting caught is not insignificant when there are all these face-to-face interactions, when you are bringing multiple obviously unreliable people into the conspiracy, when you are signing your name to voting documents. All it takes is a couple of suspicious persons to start asking questions, and pretty soon the lid is being peeled off of the whole operation.
You don’t take that risk for nothing. You don’t take it as a passing favor to a candidate, not with those stakes, and if you were hired to do a legitimate job, that would have been a whole lot easier to pull off anyway. If this “consultant” didn’t think he was being protected and rewarded, he’d never have bothered.

NC, both Harris and his contractors should be locked up for their unlawful acts during the 2018 elections. Clearly they planned to STEAL a congressional seat! What nasty pigs they all are!

Harris should not be entitled to a redo! He fucked up his chance and he’s a lying cheater and he needs to be punished for breaking the LAW!

They can’t, NC law doesn’t allow it. Unless he dies or moves out of state. Given that the local repubs hate Harris’ guts their thinking is the redo is 2020 regardless of who “wins”.

Harris totally misplayed this, especially if he authorized the ballot activity, and it sure looks now like he did. He should have announced that the consultant had brought great shame and embarrassment upon him and the GOP, this is not the American Way, and that he was conceding the race in the public interest. He wouldn’t get the seat now, but he might have bought himself a future political career and avoided a trip to prison, especially if that action would head off further investigations. Now, unless NC is even more screwed up than I thought (always possible) his chances are nil and his future is dim. He wasn’t going to be seated regardless, but he could have at least salvaged something from it all. But I guess that’s not in the DNA of a Republican to even feign embarrassment.
Cheaterman ain’t moving. This is his one and only shot at those sweet federal lifetime benefits. Even if he wins he’s gonna be primaried in 2020.
Maybe he is planning on getting in line for one of Spanky’s pardons. That probably won’t work since he clearly broke state voting laws.
Only the best people, huh? Wonder if Harris will follow Spankee’s example and fail to pay his debt.
