If there was a God, heâd smite this corrupt fraud right now with a large bolt of lightning. There isnât, and He wonât. Harris will have to be caught in bed with a dead hooker or a live boy, it seems.
The GOP wants a âre-electionâ using the previous GOP congressman who lost to Harris under much the same conditions.
The problem with doing that is they already certified Harris as winning the primary.
They already âknewâ Harris was suspect and they certified him.
Harris is the rightful winner of the contest, but North Carolina insists on letting black people vote, albeit grudgingly. Iâm sure given enough time the state can rectify the problem.
They can certify the election if they want, but I believe that Nancy Pelosi already said they would refuse to allow him to serve in the House.
âI know I cheated and the election is now moot and nullified, but canât you name me the winner anyway? I mean, I am a white male Republican, so that counts for something, right?â
Thankfully for this fraud there isnât one.
North Carolina is so F-ed up. Hard to believe whatâs happened since I was down there, although I suppose in law school I wasnât really attuned to local politics at all anyway. Maybe it was always like that.
What would happen with the new election? Didnât they just maneuver a new election? Shouldnât that suggest that the Legislature doesnât think that he should be seated?
Claiming that you should be certified, so that the people of the district can be represented in Congress, when you cheated to prevent some voters from voting/being represented, takes some kind of shameless gall.
Dude, when the party which continues to circumvent election results (by nullifying the powers of the governor), abandons you because of your blatant cheating, it is time to give it up.
North Carolina is a cesspool of crooked politics. First in line to destroy democracy.
âItâs no big deal, just let the camelâs nose into the tent. Itâll be okâŚâ
Simple legal formality anyone would do, obviously not going to happen though.
I thought the N.C. Republi-cons voted to prevent the Democratic governor from appointing the Elections Board. How will he get around that?

" Maybe it was always like that."
not really. when they had the votes needed to win handily they did not need to steal votes.
Pittinger complained to them about suspicious absentee ballot numbers and they blew him off, so it wasnât even as if they had no notice, they just decided not to follow up. Plus, similar suspicious patterns had been detected in 2016, which were also ignored. They are only unhappy now because itâs clear that a âredoâ involving Harris is so much more likely to result in a Democratic victory.
