Watch…GOP-led states will get more money in the Senate version of the bill.
The ACA, as it is, represents a yuuuge transfer of wealth from blue to red states.
But just think - they can blame Democrats for everything for at least another generation based on this!
Oh, the irony.
As does just about every gubmint program out there… That’s where all the Red State Obama freebies come from…
I got out the old magnifying glass - and I can’t find one spot on that damn map where there’s no coverage loss. It’s not even on the map key.
You wonder if Trump and his family have stakes in the funeral, mortuary and casket businesses.
Like the conglomerate in Six Feet Under that keeps trying to buy the family run funeral home.
You could picture his grifter family “The increase in the death toll will be so awesome for our empire”
Are the Trump supporters in the south going to speak out now that they know they’ll be destroyed by repealing Obamacare? Or will they continue to blindly follow Trump? Do they even care or is it still considered a win since it’s repealing Obamacare?
Of course it hits their own constituents the hardest. Their constituents will predictably and reliably blame everyone BUT the GOPers they elected for the fucking they get. In particular, we all know exactly who they will blame, because “those people” are still getting things and help and assistance and whatever, and it’s especially because “those people” are still getting all those things that the GOP’s constituents believe they are getting their fucking. I mean, I don’t know how much simpler to say it. They truly believe it: “I’d be rich right now if’n it warn’t for them damn coloreds and their hand-me-outs…hey maw, pass me that there moonshine, ya stupid sow!!!”
I’ve had that thought myself. Glad I’m not the only one.
None of this matters, as hating blacks, Latinos and gays and ensuring that you can own as many weapons as you like are things that are far more important than health care.
Sure go ahead, hit Texas hard. Trump is polling underwater in Texas so make it thorough.
“If the bill passes in the Senate”, one of two things will happen according to this description of how a bill becomes law. Is McConnell short circuiting this process and will Ryan then add further to short circuiting it? Is there a Parliamentarian reading this?
Yep they would have both sides on to discuss whether he signed the bill, or on a differing opinion he didn’t sign the bill despite the fact it would be objective
But what about the people’s right to marry their guns?
Edit to add: would that make the GOP men who marry their guns gay? As it is they generally carry a weapon to compensate for their penis thus they are marrying a penis
If McConnell and Ryan do that they will have managed to piss off literally everyone.
My aperitif of choice tonight is Schadenfreude, up, with a twist.
I find this graphic does a better job of explaining the legislative process under GOP leadership:
True. There is no one who will not be affected and I think Ryan will pursue the passage of this thing even more relentlessly than Turtle since he’s a Randian from way back.
But when the smoke clears from this and I pray to the goddess of health care that it will die quickly and never come back again, we will then be confronting what PP plans to do with the NLRB in the fall.
He’s going to appoint Rs with goal of reversing Obama passed regs even though he campaigned on helping American workers and other blah blah. Basically anything that aids organizing unions and other measures that help workers would be gone. There are several stories out there if you care to look it up. It’s sickening…
