It really comes down to this:
If it’s minorities and their communities, the Teatroll want a violently fascist police force subjugating the citizenry, keeping them in their place and learnin’ 'em what for…and if they get shot with their hands up for being uppity, talking back and failing to obey, then hey, that’s their own fault.
If it’s anything like mundane, routine military exercises anywhere within the vague proximity of white people and white communities, then it’s tinfoil hat conspiracy freakout time over potential martial law and tyranny…not to mention if you send some innocent officers just doing their jobs to enforce lawful court orders to some white guy’s ranch, then they’ll all applaud those white folks pointing hunting guns and sniper rifles at said law enforcement and making threats to shoot them.

Upon entry, the officers encountered a dog. Two officers fired their weapons striking and killing the animal. A male in the home, later determined to be the homeowner, was also shot by the responding officers.
One of the police officers was shot. The G.B.I. says their early investigation indicates the officer was likely shot accidentally by one of the other officers at the scene.
Guess it is different when they shoot their own

I am wondering why the writer of this piece could not have instead said, two white men and one black man instead of the opposite. Institutional racism at work.

Here is the Chicago report.
"At a brief news conference Tuesday, authorities said they were searching for two white men and one black man."
The TPM report reversed that. More importantly, what’s the difference? By your logic, the institutional racism was done by the TPM reporter. In fact, a FOX viewer might see the TPM version as “aha, they want to give more credit to the black guy for killing the cop!!”. Also silly.
You seem to be reading WAY too much into this. The bottom line is that we have an accurate racial breakdown of the perps, so if anyone sees 2 whites and 1 black (or 1 black and 2 whites) in that area who are together and look like they are on the run, call 911.

Pending the facts, the first reports indicate the guys overpowered the officer and took his gun. Not yet known whether they killed the officer with his own gun (or perhaps another stolen gun of their own) which certainly would have been preventable had the gun been equipped with personalized technology that would have locked in a gun thief’s hands. Not to mention potential future victims of these guys and the stolen gun (like Kathryn Steinle, the young woman killed by a stolen gun in SF two months ago). This will be critical info down the road for stopping this kind of gun casualty.

I don’t understand how this happened. Wasn’t the officer armed? I thought if you were armed, this couldn’t happen, and that’s why every man, woman, child, and parakeet should have a gun.

I’m reasonably convinced that if they had said “two white men and one black man” we would be responding to why the black man closed the sentence and therefore held the lasting impression rather than the two white men. Not from you, perhaps, but someone would find fault in the reverse order.
It’s a case of twisting facts to suit theories, rather than theories to suit facts.
