Good for Manchin.
Pence just wants to inherit the presidency.
DINO says what?
Last week, I worked in a bipartisan way with Senator Collins to end the shutdown, & last night President Trump called for unity & bipartisanship.
I doubt Manchin thinks Trump meant what he said.
But in West Virginia, trying to take advantage of Trump’s hypocrisy is … wasted effort.
Hey he’s from Wva that’s the only way a dem can win there being conservative so I wouldn’t hate on him for that
I know he’s WV, but why the incessant false equivalency from Manchin? He’ll only specifically diss his Democratic brethren, otherwise it’s a mealy-mouthed indictment of “Washington” (which is still a diss of his Democratic brethren)…
Manchin is a good guy and I wouldn’t bet against him in WV, but he really needs to understand that Republicans are not his friends. Hell they aren’t anybodies friends. The only approach Democrats should take this election is to dig them out root and branch. Give them a whipping they will remember.
pence was talking to folks that already had insurance and will benefit from the tax cuts. The same folks that think the poor deserve to be poor and that its there own fault…yeah …scared rich old and white…
“When the time came to repeal and replace the disaster of Obamacare, Joe voted ‘no.’”
Because West Virginians have such good health, and such a good healthcare system that they don’t need health insurance or the assurance that they will receive medical treatment when they need it.
This is not why Washington sucks. It’s why Mike Dense and his party suck. Hard to believe, but Dense may be more loathsome than Trump.
Dear Joe Manchin,
Republican’ts will never be your friends. Trump will stab you in the back the first chance he gets. Have you not been paying attention for the last year??? So either embrace what it is to be a Democrat or prepare to go the way of Blanche Lincoln, Mary Landrieu, Mark Pryor, Kay Hagan, et. al.
Love,
Ken in MN
It would be so nice if news didn’t travel. Manchin says what he needs to say to his trump-loving constituents, but then it gets used as a cudgel to beat democrats around the country.
I think Joe knows that.
Idiot Manchin, keeps sucking up to Trump and the GOP in general, and he keeps getting kicked and humilliated, you would have thought that he had learned by now.
But sadly, that is most of the voting population in WV. Most younger folk have already abandoned the State, leaving it in the hands of the folks that you aptly describe above.
The Dems can take nothing for granted in the next 12 months. Nothing. They have to come out swinging and take no prisoners. The avalanche has already started.
or he could point out that Pence is either fully incompetent or complicit in tRUmp’s kowtow to Moscow as lead of the transition and has done nothing to make the United States safer in the year he has spent as putin’s puppet’s cabana boy
a really simple tweet asking " hey veep, when did you know about Flynn’s issues, what did you do to stop it, and what corrective actions have you done, outside of hiring council to protect you?"
let Q-tip suck on that
He has to win for that to be possible. I’m in favor of Manchin doing whatever he thinks is necessary to win in his state.
Manchin is well aware they are not his friends. If he thought so, he would have switched to Republican. That certainly would make his life a lot easier. I think it says a lot about him that he has not made the switch. Clearly he is still committed to being a Democrat. And in a state which literally has the highest approval for Trump in the country right now, that’s is to be commended.
Lots of fine people in West Virginia. Best vacant, glassy eyed stares that’ll ever greet you outside of Mississippi.
West Virginia has the highest approval for Trump in the country. Short of switching to republican, Manchin has to appear bipartisan if he has any chance of being re-elected.
And no, a Bernie Sanders progressive has no chance of winning here. None.
