“mysteriously wealthy railway manager”

If only that were the local newspaper’s description of Rascal Crone.

Boyarkin went on to explain that “he owed us a lot of money.”

Boyarkin seems a bit amateur here. In this situation you don’t give the press juicy quotes. Maybe he felt he had to put on a show for his boss or the people he was with.

I wonder if this oligarch Oleg Deripaska and his company Rusal could be the mystery parties in that sealed case that’s going to the Supreme Court?

I wonder if the company is Rosneft that the Dossier said was doling out 19% shares in exchange for lifting sanctions.

It would be a puzzle piece that would fit in.

Like Trump, he had no investments in Russia–as in, no net positive asset position.

I’m afraid Comrad Trump the failed business man/game show host must owe them so much more. Only once we know his level of debt will we see just how much street value has been placed on artic oil reserves, Syrian oil reserves, Afghan poppy fields, and the United States standing on the world stage itself.

Now that we are seeing how our electoral process allowed the country to be sold out to Russia by a minority of voters—perhaps now we can fight to get rid of the electoral college

Now that we are seeing how a political party is allowing the country to be sold out to Russia—perhaps now we can fight for a three party system so that the Left Right and Center can be represented

Treason may help strengthen this country in the long run

Susan Sarandon said essentially the same thing when trump was elected.

Didn’t believe her then and don’t believe her now…

“Confab” ?

I had to google it, for us English-as-a-Second-Language-dullards a rather dubious word…

an informal private conversation or discussion.
“the men clustered together for a quick confab”

‘the men clustered together for a quick confab’

1.1 North American A meeting or conference of members of a particular group.
‘the annual American Booksellers Association confab’

Now that I could back, why just two parties other that it allows them to split the proceeds without making any effort to propose anything meaningful to anyone.

You have a good point. All parties work for the rich, however, they differ on the scraps given out to avoid rebellion. There is room for a third

Three party systems are not stable: the other parties adjust their positions to shut the middle party out.
