According to CNN, Downing told reporters outside the federal courthouse in Virginia, where a jury is deliberating the case, that the team “really appreciates the support of President Trump.”

It’s not unprecedented however it’s a bad thing for a President to say anything that might influence a jury. ANd the way the tRump stench spreads like a bad gas it’s almost impossible to make it through a day with hearing of his latest tweets.

“You know, as I heard that I thought boy, we really have changed. I’m not sure for the better,” Wallace said. “I remember Richard Nixon back in the 60s, early 70s talking about the Charles Manson trial — not someone who many people had doubts about. The president weighed in on his guilt and people went nuts.”

Or the prosecution will move for a mistrial or the judge will issue some kind of instruction that makes things even worse.

Quite possible there will be some individual polling of jurors on whether they were exposed to news or opinions on Monday.
