Hoping a juror or two will break the rules and watch the evening news, I take it.
Good thing the President has nothing to hide and this is all a witch hunt – otherwise I’d really be getting worried that I was living in some kind of banana republic where the President can just pardon his cronies to protect himself.
Presidents are not supposed to comment on an ongoing trial.
Why didn’t they call him as a character witness?
Is he fishing for a new client?
According to CNN, Downing told reporters outside the federal courthouse in Virginia, where a jury is deliberating the case, that the team “really appreciates the support of President Trump.”
It’s not unprecedented however it’s a bad thing for a President to say anything that might influence a jury. ANd the way the tRump stench spreads like a bad gas it’s almost impossible to make it through a day with hearing of his latest tweets.
“You know, as I heard that I thought boy, we really have changed. I’m not sure for the better,” Wallace said. “I remember Richard Nixon back in the 60s, early 70s talking about the Charles Manson trial — not someone who many people had doubts about. The president weighed in on his guilt and people went nuts.”
From Faux news…
But we don’t have a president, rather, we have a dotard!
That’d be like trying to keep bugs in a goose ----
“In fact, since Paul is in jail, I’m now the one who is getting his coffee,” he added.
Trump’s comments are disgusting as are Manafort’s attorney. Jury tampering, anyone?
Or the prosecution will move for a mistrial or the judge will issue some kind of instruction that makes things even worse.
Quite possible there will be some individual polling of jurors on whether they were exposed to news or opinions on Monday.
This is why a person in authority does not comment on an ongoing court case. If it was anyone else there would be such howling.
What is the subliminal message that Kevin Downing is trying to send to the POTUS?
Very scummy.
And it’s equally outrageous that the lawyer cheered Trump on.
Trump likes to use the word “sad”. He obviously has never experienced the emotion of sadness, and has no idea what “sad” means. Moron.
I am not a human being, but I play one on twitter. DJT
Remember how the right threw a shit-fit when Obama said Trayvon Martin could have been his son?
According to CNN, [Manafort's lawyer Kevin] Downing told reporters outside the federal courthouse in Virginia, where a jury is deliberating the case, that the team “really appreciates the support of President Trump.”
Pardon me?
