Just about everyone charged with crimes by Mueller will likely assert in court Mueller's marching orders were improperly expanded to include alleged crimes by their clients Mueller had no business digging into in the first place. Sort of like a cop getting a judge to sign a search warrant looking for drugs, yet during the search child porn is found. Motions to throw out evidence will abound.More like finding a dead body in a pool of blood in the kitchen - plain sight.

The indictments seem to indicate more than a few people and financial institution’s records experienced extensive scrutiny, questioning and searches. I think it’s all appropriate, but “plain sight” wouldn’t be a term I used to describe what Mueller has discovered and compiled.

I mean how dare this Mueller fellow look into and behind Paul Manafort’s tax returns, his money laundering, his lying to federally insured banks, and unreported off shore wealth stolen from the Ukranian people?

Really!? And here I was expecting him to say Manafort was guilty as charged. This guy is today’s Captain Obvious.
We have scant indication Manafort is playing ball with Mueller, negotiating a plea or showing willingness to flip on others for leniency. Obviously if it’s happening it’s all under wraps, yet rumors of others engaged in such talks at least leaks into the public sphere. Not so with Manafort. I venture the trouble he’d cause very powerful people by flipping outweighs the personal benefit to him of a lighter sentence. Russian mobsters and Trump & Friends would likely find myriad ways to make his life miserable (were he even permitted to live) post-incarceration. Pleading guilty with no offer of cooperation, and taking the full brunt of justice, surely entails spending most of the rest of his life behind bars, so not fighting is also a bad option. He’s stuck between the proverbial rock and hard space. A balls to the wall emphatic defense against the charges, in his mind, may be the only course of action he sees, the least bad of several bad avenues to travel.
What kind of opinion of their country must these criminals have had to commit the things they have done? For so long I saw our GOP reprobates screaming about Obama and the Democrats being traitors and not loving America, and these pieces of shit wanted to turn America into a third-rate dictatorship. I hope all of these motherfuckers burn.
