Donnie and his evil spawn must be spinning like tops.

Junior is giving up Secret Service protection. Will make it easier when he flees the country.

How about this for an alternate headline:

"Under Court Order, Surveillance of Manafort Began in 2014"

We have to be careful that the wording can’t be used by 45 and his sycophants to say “45 was right! There were wiretaps!”

My first reaction when I read that article early this a.m. was “oh, getting tired of someone keeping an eye on you all the time, are you? Hard to make sleazy deals with federal witnesses floating around??”

But, yeah, fleeing (possible) prosecution is also a good reason.

ETA: also loved that ol’ KAC is losing her Secret Service detail too. Guess she’s been “downgraded”…

While I agree in principle, we know that truth and facts and the wording of such things matter not to his knuckle-dragging supporters. I expect the ship has sailed on this already.

I wonder if it is about fleeing the country or if he is subpoenaed and compelled to testify, would the Secret Service be bound to ensure he complies with the subpoena?

Federal Marshals would be sent in for that.

Regarding the idiotic Trumper ‘see…Trump was right, he was wiretapped’. The better question is, what is Trump doing talking to people whom the USIC suspects of being criminals, foreign agents/spies or both? Trump is a man who has surrounded himself with actual mafia, spies, and all manner of reprobates for at least the last 2 decades. He is a money laundering machine who has had mob operations run out of his own buildings.

This is what the press should’ve been demanding of Trump when he first made this lie against Obama. All they needed to do is harangue him about why would anyone be worried about being wiretapped unless they were afraid associations with criminals would get out. There is ample evidence of Trump’s questionable associations and dealings. Just read the material and go where it leads.

Indeed, I’m just curious if the secret service has any responsibilities in this area. Would they be compelled as a government agency to provide the location of trump jr. In the case that the marshals were looking for him?

Yes they would. Executive privilege can’t be claimed over anything the Secret Service has seen or done, either. Junior is in no way a government official.

Trump: I am proven right once again. Obama was/is still at it. The Microwave is back on.

One might call this group Trump surrounds himself with, a “basket of deplorables”?

How about a “basket full of deplorable agents of a foreign country”?

“Cheap import deplorables?”

So Manafort is now likely to be the first indicted? Or early? Sounds like it. But if they’re going Up the Ladder, there’s a Person of Interest higher than Manafort who’ll directly point to the Commander in Cheat.
Oh, please let it be Rudi! Please?
Cohen would be OK, but Rudy’s better.
All you guys are rooting for Pence. Arent you?

Ha! Of course, they’re claiming that! Headline on Breitbart:

CNN Admits Trump Campaign Was Wiretapped: Breitbart News and Mark Levin Right, Mainstream Media Wrong.”

If Trumpski was caught up in the net while talking to Manafort, gee, that’s too bad.

We watch with interest. I would counsel against drawing conclusions in advance of actual information.

‘Federal agents raided Manafort’s home in Alexandria, Virginia, in July’…so presumably Trump knew they were raiding his ‘buddy’. Hmmmm…I wonder if detractors are boxing Trump in. Either he admits he knew and colluded OR he was a willing dupe/dope for all con artists…conning the Con so to speak.
