I’m old enough to remember a certain Governor who went to jail for trying to sell a Senate seat. This is not so different.

Mr. Calk’s days of breathing free air appear to be finite and numbered.

ETA: Kushner? Special cell awaits for him in a Supermax to be named later.

This is starting to get interesting.

I believe that prosecutors could follow the leads that come up for 40 years and never run out of criminal acts to prosecute.

Selling positions to the highest bidders. That pretty much defines this entire maladministration. Makes you wonder how much people like DeVos, Ross, Mnuchin and others paid tRump or any of his lackeys to get the positions they now hold. This is basically Rod Blagojevich level corruption writ large with tentacles reaching in every direction to anyone willing to pay for privilege, prestige and power.

I hope every last one of them ends up behind bars.

I want to know how many dollars of the loan proceeds ended up in a trump bank account?

I agree. Seems like the same damn thing to me too.

It’s nice to know that the Army Secretary spot is still this timeline’s “Hope Diamond”.

Mueller knew about this months ago. I’d say Jared is moving to the front of the line.

Why is Secretary of the Army worth this level of corruption to Calk? Was it just a lifelong dream, prestige, or a grift that I’m not seeing?

Maybe he was looking to branch out into medical insurance fraud as a hobby.

Its like a bank heist with the thief coming from inside the bank.

Calk was in a position to override the President of the bank. I hope they’ve already confiscated this guy’s passport. No telling how much he’s stolen from the bank for himself in light of how willing he was to make such a large fraudulent loan to Manafort. Too bad that loan will never be paid back either. One can only feel sorry for people that use that bank for their deposits. Let’s hope they’re a FDIC bank because that bank needs to be shut down by regulators, and people should really move their money to some other secure institution.

After watching Maddow list all of the specifics, I realized this guy must have had some serious Dear Santa letters as a kid.
