My impression is that Flynn’s pre-sentencing statement came out nearly unscathed compared to what Manafort’s lawyers’ statement looked like after Mueller’s response.

I often refer to TPM as the source of the seemingly prescient position I held on Trump Russia during the elections, and currently the depth of my understanding as the saga unfolds.
More than once I have sent a link to an important piece and had recipients remark on things like that to question the professional quality of the blog, the validity of the editorial comments and the accuracy of the reporting.
I believe this undermines Josh’s intention to position this blog as a truly professional IE trustworthy shop, countering the sometimes deserved negative reputation of blogs on any point of the political spectrum.
I can even imagine avid readers volunteering to serve in this way so that the funds for investigative reporting are not impacted.

I kind of think the motivation here was more Manafort wanting his name mentioned to prod Trump rather than Manafort’s work for Ukranians.
