So helpful of Trump to open hi big mouth the other day about what a nice guy Manafort is.

Let’s hope the other 8 aren’t not guilty

As long as he’s convicted on some of them, I’m OK with it. Deadlocked is not acquittal and is without prejudice. He can be retried on those counts.

Oh, and he has another trial next month, where the evidence is supposedly even stronger. And a different judge.

I backed up the judge, but he likely blew it big time with his constant interruptions.

Precisely. And he’s got another trial coming up after this. Everybody needs to stay focused and calm down.

One can only wonder if a sequestered jury would have reached a different outcome. I also wonder what impact the Judge had on the final outcome. (A better, less cranky judge next time, please.)

In a case where so much hinged on intent, I frankly don’t find a lot of hung verdicts to be surprising or indicative of bad faith on anyone’s part.

Manafort convicted of 5 tax charges, 2 bank fraud, 1 false statement according to MSNBC.

You can probably thank da judge for the hung jury- who rocket docketed it to the jury without allowing for explanation in the courtroom of major pieces of evidence.

And the judge making cute remarks and interjections along the way…

Retrial on 10 counts – and Manafort still has to stay in jail pending sentencing and his other court dates.

The other 8 better be guilty

It looks like he was found guilty on 8 counts! Hung on the other ten.

ETA: That’s reporting from MSNBC’s Ken Dilanian who is at the courthouse.

My thoughts exactly. Sequestration seemed like a no brainer.
