The Good Guy With a Gun was there but he does not do knives.

Were all the people there cowards cause they did not rush the knife-wielder?

On behalf of Sacramento, I apologize. :expressionless:

According to local reports, it happened at 21st and K streets downtown…there are two main things in that area, pot dispensaries and gay bars. (not kidding)

I await further details with interest.

Not a guy to party with it seems.
He is a conflict-magnet.
I hope he is alright and recovers, but DUDE!

It brings an old adage to mind. ‘No good deed goes unpunished.’

Oh boy…

peeks over at Faux News KKKomment boards

Yep, a black Muslim illegal immigrant from Kenya did it at Obama’s request…

Not in that neighborhood, he didn’t. (see my post above)

I suspect he either got mugged, tried to be a hero, or responded negatively to being propositioned.

But knifing isn’t really the kind of thing the locals there would do.

Ooooh, mayhap we have something we’re not supposed to ask and he won’t tell?

Which is why I am very much curious to hear The Rest Of The Story.

More info from one of our hometown stations, KCRA Channel 3:

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) —Hometown hero Spencer Stone was stabbed multiple times early Thursday morning near several popular bars in midtown Sacramento, KCRA has confirmed with the U.S. Air Force.

The stabbing happened about 12:45 a.m. near 21st and K streets, Sacramento police said.

A fight in the street allegedly led to Stone being stabbed multiple times in the torso, prompting investigators to block off two blocks in the area, Sacramento police said.

Stone was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

A man and a woman were questioned by police, but there is no word that they were detained or taken into custody.
The area reopened about 6 a.m., but the investigation is ongoing.

No suspect description has been released.

Stone and two friends, Anthony Sadler and Alek Skarlatos, who all grew up in Sacramento, were hailed as heroes for stopping a terrorist attack on board a Paris-bound train.

Skarlatos returned last week to Roseburg, Oregon where he was living after a gunman opened fire on Skarlatos’ college, Umpqua Community College, killing nine before before the shooter turned the gun on himself.

He should have told him “You have the wrong guy, you want the man behind the counter.”

[NRA]See! We don’t need gun control! Because knives![/NRA]

Well, if he had been shot with a gun 4 times, he most likely would be dead now. Comment, NRA?

Apparently he hasn’t been to the Carson school of avoiding getting shot/stabbed. Don’t shoot/stab me, shoot/stab that guy over there, he’s got more money

Sounds about right for Sacramento.

Just fyi - Spencer’s friend, Alek Skarlatos, who was also one of the heroes of the French Train incident, is currently a contestant on Dancing With The Stars. (And doing VERY well I might add) On Monday, his performance was dedicated to Roseburg and the victims of the shooting in Oregon at the college he had attended. Now this.
