Obviously this should be a death penalty offense for the idiot at the door wanting money. Because the right to not be frightened seems to be the most important thing in the world right now to those so easily frightened.

Taylor knocked on the museum’s door to ask for money, according to the police. McLeod refused to give him money and tried to close the door. Taylor then allegedly forced the door open with his foot, and McLeod shot him. Police found Taylor dead just inside the front door of the museum.

The moral here?

Always pull the body in across the threshold to avoid being arrested…

Ah. The George Zimmerman defense. And the only other participant is daid.

Another case of he said-the corpse said…

So, the guy gets shot on the front porch, but is found dead inside the house? Yep, sounds like another typical day in the American South.

I wonder whether the guy makes it a habit to answer the door with a gun in his hand. Otherwise he could hardly have stood his ground that quickly, without even having to get his gun from the presumably locked place where he kept it, safe and unloaded. Is this the way to greet people who want to see the “museum” as well?

If things went down the way the homeowner claims they did, case closed. But like most reading this article I have my doubts that things happened the way the homeowner says they did. Forensics may be able to tell whether or not the homeowners story adds up.

I don’t know if it’s legal in Mississippi to kill a man for persistent begging and putting his foot in the doorway, but if so it shouldn’t be legal.

I came here to say this The story makes zero sense. We’re supposed to believe this old man was able to react by grabbing a shotgun, raising it and shooting this guy in the chest all in the time this 28 year old took to move from one side of the door frame to the other? Bullshit.

He must have tried to take the deep fried Snickers!

Suspicious minds get all shook up and don’t think twice when fools, like Taylor, rush in. Blasting away, only the strong, likePaul McLeod, survive and get their mojo working. “He touched me,” McLeod said, “I got a dirty, dirty feeling.” Threatened by the intruder, McLeod wanted a little less conversation from Taylor and thought to himself, “It’s now or never,” and fired his weapon. “Turn your eyes upon Jesus,” McLeod said to the dying man, “It’s now or never.” McLeod told police, I “don’t think twice, it’s alright. There’s too much monkey business” around Holly Springs, and a man’s got a right to say, “Do not disturb!”

It wasn’t a shotgun. According to Josh’s front page report it was a .45 caliber handgun.

I’m not sure whether the deceased was black or white, but I’m pretty sure what the shooter was.

Well done.

I hope guys are not too disappointed if the shooter acted within the law. Sounds like he was defending himself.

I’ve been Moody Blue lately Teddy Bear, but you give me Fever and have been Forever on My Mind.

Let’s say the circumstances were justified and the facts line up completely. Then great! Here’s an example of our well-oiled militia machine at work. Intruder stiffed. No body armor required. No semi-automatic. No 10-round magazine.

The NRA, however, wants intruders to be free to get body armor, semi-automatics, and large-capacity magazines.

I don’t think the NRA has my interests in mind.
