Discussion for article #228303
I just learned yesterday that a family friend’s family member shot her husband after finding out he was cheating on her. He claimed gun cleaning accident, no charges filed. I suspect this is incredibly common.
I’m not sure why TPM has such a hard-on for these stupid stories. What about politics? Just because Congress is not in session doesn’t mean that nothing is happening.
Ah, the sanctity of marriage…
That is one seriously cooperative (submissive) husband to cover for his wife’s attempt to murder him.
LD
"Based on the results of the autopsy, based on evidence that was at the scene we’ve established enough probable cause to charge him with recklessly causing her death.”
He continued: “It’s not like we’ve got a bunch of witnesses all claiming he shot her multiple times while her hands were in the air or something, in which case we’d need time to go through the whole grand jury process. Nope…easy peasy, this one…especially since there was a bag of Skittles next to the weed.”
Look, pal, they can only shoehorn in so many Ted Cruz non-stories in a day!
Oh well. I just like my porn with naked womens.
That’s why Jeebus invented tabbed browsing.
Yeah, “cleaning your gun” is the new way to say “she had it coming.”
I thought Democrats believed in evolution…
Sorry, allow me to correct:
“That’s why Satan evolved tabbed browsing”
You would think that gun-cleaning “accidents” would at least meet the standard for negligence. If I were cleaning my axe and by merest chance lopped a family member’s head off while checking the new balance, you can bet there would be charges.
Oh…nevermind, I thought this was a Secret Service story.
He stood his ground against them uppity wimminz! Why if he didn’t have a gun, she might have started using birth control!
Another example of how civilian gun ownership is a great way to keep safe.
Oh, and regarding the headline, he didn’t allegedly shoot his girlfriend in the face because
According to the Monitor, during interviews with law enforcement, Cantu’s accounts of the shooting were inconsistent, but he eventually admitted to accidentally shooting Hernandez while cleaning his gun.
He actually admits he shot her in the face, allegedly while cleaning his gun. And he was doing the alleging.
…refusing to accept his abuse and demanding equal pay.
Did he call 911 if it were a true accident? Dragging her out of the house when the police arrived? Drugs and money found? How about gun oil and a barrel brush? This was a deliberate killing!
