I agree with you on that. Maybe not the chair, since I think NY doesn’t do death penalties anymore, but certainly a black 30 year old college graduate would not be determined to be too mentally ill to stand trial, and he’d get LWOP, most likely in NY state.

It’s like Cookie Lyon said, mental illness is a white folks problem. And in the eyes of the law, only rich white boys can be “unfit for trial.”
