Discussion for article #230242
Maybe if women would stop showing cleavage and wearing skirts up to their asses like on Fox⌠they would be taken seriously. No one 's going to take a woman seriously while her chest is half exposed.
I must applaud the Discovery ID channel where many female expertâs donât even seem to have combed their hair before going on camera.
I like his point. I also wonder how it would go if he tried to wear anything other than a suit? Women can and do have a broad variety of clothes they can wear and come under heat if the fashion is poor, doesnât fit their body type, is out of date, isnât in their color range, etc. Men, on the other hand, know not to color outside the lines and anything other than a suit is unacceptable, so donât even try. Itâs ridiculous that âprofessionalâ men are expected to wear a fashion which evolved in a nasty climate like northern Europe, where wool and a jacket are arguable useful. Then throw on the necktie - a useless accoutrement that evolved from the Elizabethan laced color and cuffs.
As an extension to his experiment, he should try wearing different types of clothes after his year is over⌠how would a kilt be accepted, or high-cost jeans, or a tank, or even an aloha shirt⌠maybe some sandals considering how hot Australia can be. Heâd probably be fired after the first week.
I completely agree, men can barely think straight if a woman exposes her ankles, much less her upper chest. If women want to be taken seriously, they should dress more like⌠a man. Thereâs a song in that I think.
NoâŚYOU wonât take her seriously. That doesnât mutually include us all. And, although I am no fan of FOX the woman on the program donât dress in an unacceptable manner. Thatâs your perception âŚand itâs just that type of perception that was being demonstrated by this man.
He can wear a one button, two button, Eaton or Double Breasted. He can wear a suit or a blazer. He has options and woman donât have the options you suggest. They are restricted to business or professional wear. They donât do news in a sundress or a peasant skirt.
Meh. Hillary Clinton dressed quite conservatively during the 2008 campaign, and all we ever heard about were her pant suits.
Women in professional positions who dress the way you want still get way too much feedback about their outfits; itâs just different comments.
I remember this guy from his hilariously lame bit with the The Dalai Lama. Seems like a good chap.
facepalm Do you SERIOUSLY think those women are allowed to choose their own âlookâ? WTH do you think they all look and dress alike, hmm? (I know, I know, you hadnât thought about it that way.)
Sounds kinda unsanitary to me. When did he get it dry-cleaned?
Experiment? Sounds cheap and lazy to me.
Iâm sure it was noticed, it always is, but those who did refrained from comment out of a desire to not cause offense.
Well, sometimes the media pay attention to what a man wears:
No, wearing a mini skirted cocktail party dress while perched on a tall stool and shot full length only adds to the credibility of female presenters on Fox. Also dyed blonde hair expensively done along with lots of professionally applied makeup.
No, only mini skirted cocktail party dresses are allowed on Fox for females perched on tall stools. Quite a restrictive dress code and totally professional.
Yeah, Dan Rather tried a sweater and look what happened to him.
Rapists respond with sexual arousal to undressed women: Normal men respond with sexual arousal only when the woman herself is showing signs of sexual arousal.
Women are restricted to business or professional wear? Which includes⌠? And the only difference between a suit and a blazer is one is made with both pants and a coat and the other is a coat⌠although youâre still going need the slacks, unless youâre a news anchor and no one can see under the table.
Letâs see how far a woman gets wearing the same outfit on television all year without anyone noticing. Well played, sir.
They donât have one-hour dry cleaning in Australia?
