It is nice to see (in a perverse way) the our country isn’t the only with religious nut-jobs.
Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Joseph Pairin Kitingan blamed the tragedy on a group of 10 foreigners who “showed disrespect to the massive formation of rock and dirt” by posing naked at the peak last week. He said a special ritual would be conducted later to “appease the rock and dirt of the mountain.”
Minister Kitingan was unable to explain why the rocks that cared so much about brief exposure of human skin chose to wait a week and slaughter fully clothed humans, nor was he able to explain why rocks so incensed by human nudity would remain passive while humans routinely exposed their privates and peed on the rocks.
Why do we humans keep inventing gods that are so damn fussy, arbitrary and violent?
A Westerner setting foot in Malaysia is asking for trouble. You might as well juggle rattlesnakes.
I thought that (non-Chinese) Malaysians were Muslim.
