HAHA!

Regressive idiot.
WHy doesn’t LIBtards waNT only BILLS that RepreseNT gooD PUBlic poliCY to becOME LAW?
I really love this. These right-wingers get away with so much idiotic, unethical behavior in pursuit of their goals. This time, the stupidity resulted in reasonable legislation - winning!!!
So, another “conservative” in favor of frivolous lawsuits. Must be Thursday.
What those idiots in the Legislature fail to understand is that the Great Governor LePage was elected dictator for life of Maine by an overwhelming majority of nearly 50 percent.
Sucks to be him, I guess!
Maine reelected this guy! Yes, I know it was a three-person race, but he is the democratically elected Governor of Maine. THIS is what happens when you vote Republican. Bad government in every manner, gridlock, and basically anarchy. You get the government you deserve, not the government you need.
There’s not enough icing to hold all these cherries!!!
Future news headline: Gov. LePage Forgets to File Lawsuit On Time.
“LePage has been engaged in a long-running veto war
with Democratic lawmakers, vetoing bills indiscriminately, only to have
those vetoes briskly overturned by the legislators of both parties.”
So both parties are working against the governor?? The parties are cooperating? How unusual! Refreshing even.
Neener, neener, neener! Understanding the law, and the legislature’s rules, should be Job 1 of any governor taking office!
In fairness to Republicans in Maine, elected Republicans there aren’t buying his nonsense either. It’s a small win for responsible adults trying to take the reins, but one worthy of acknowledgement.
May I add this?
HA!
Incompetent fool.
Or, should I say those that elected this clown twice, are the incompetent fools.
Nelson Muntz came to mind immediately.
I love that LePage is SO nuts that even the rest of the state Republicans have to acknowledge that he’s nuts. I would definitely read a biography about him. Or a psychiatric report.
OK Governor, if you want to take it to court, do so at your own expense since you are such a fiscal conservative.
The litigation options are interesting.
I am sure that the Gov. will spend a bunch of taxpayer money hiring an outside firm to file a lawsuit - the AG has already taken a stance against and will likely defend the legislature. Perhaps Christie can negotiate a bulk deal from Randy Mastro?
On a serious side, anyone that is subject to any of these laws and wants to challenge them would also likely have standing to challenge them. Not sure what the Maine statute of limitations would be on that and when it would start running. In CA, it would likely be a facial challenge that would need to be brought within 90 days of enactment. I don’t think that an as-applied challenge would work in this context.
LePage to the people of Maine:
“Rules? I don’t need no rules. I don’t have to follow your stinkin’ rules!”
