Discussion: MAGA-Hat-Wearing Rally Goer Attacked A BBC Cameraman In El Paso

I’m not sure Trump’s base needs to be drinking to assault people. Breathing seems to do the trick just fine.

The attack followed Trumpski’s press is the enemy of the people incitement. And that was followed by his approval of the attack with a thumbs up gesture. It’s funny how redcaps are allowed to mob up the press and not be removed.

Why are there no consequences for these rally goons? Lock him up!

I worry that we’r at the point that someone (or multiple someones) are going to start not only attacking journalists, but actively try to kill them.

Seeing as Trump eggs his cult on so often, and with words that stoke the violence, I expect it’s only a matter of time. Especially if all hell breaks loose on the SC investigations against him.

Of course not ! He is a True American !

Consequences my ass. The goons think their legal expenses will be taken care of by Traitor Tot.

I’d like for anyone arrested under these circumstances to sue and demand Trump pay their legal bills, showing clips of Trump promising to do so at various campaign rallies.

Mobs can turn menacing and dangerous instantly, like somebody pulling the pin on a grenade.
Way, way back in high school, our football team played one from a part of town with people of lower economic fortune. We were blue collar. They were poorer blue collar. Whether this was a factor in what happened I can’t be certain.
In any event, I thought it odd that two mounted police were present. Thank goodness. Our team won.
As the bleachers emptied, students from the losing school began attacking students from our school. A big scrum formed instantly on the field with kids mixing it up. I think I was still leaving the bleachers.
In any event, the two mounted police charged into the crowd with their horses doing some sort of hip swing left and right, knocking people down like bowling pins. Lots of screaming. That scrum broke up fast. The memory of it lasts to this day. I don’t think anyone was seriously injured.

We’re already there:

On June 28, 2018, a mass shooting occurred at the offices of The Capital, a newspaper serving Annapolis, Maryland. The gunman, Jarrod Ramos, shot and killed five employees with a shotgun.

Interesting Scientific Fact: If you put 1000 Trump supporters in a room with 1000 typewriters, none of them will ever type out Hamlet by chance - they use the typewriters to beat each other instead.

We already know the regard Trump has for journalists:

The Trump administration declined Friday to submit a report to Congress determining whether Saudi Arabia’s crown prince is personally responsible for the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Senators had asked for the finding by Friday, with an eye to imposing new human rights sanctions on Saudi Arabia over the journalist’s Oct. 2 killing inside the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

Under the Magnitsky Act, the president has 120 days to respond to a direct request from Congress about possible violations. The request, made Oct. 10 in a letter signed by 11 Democratic and 11 Republican senators, required the administration to make a determination of responsibility for the killing, particularly including involvement by the Saudi royal family, and to act on it by imposing sanctions on responsible individuals.

“The President maintains his discretion to decline to act on congressional committee requests when appropriate,” a senior administration official said in a statement.

How dare that cameraman ram his head into the innocent hand of that poor Trump supporter.

Les Moonves is as much responsible for this as any living human.

It’s clear in the video that the thumbs up was to the press. He was asking the press group: “Are you ok? Everything ok out there?”, giving the thumbs up as the inquiry was ending. He’s asking them to give him a thumbs up if they’re ok.

It was perfunctory, with no trace of concern for them, but it was definitely directed at them.

There are. He’ll most likely face assault charges. That’s what happened to the last guy who got violent.

Apparently, tRump considers it “appropriate” to ignore the murder of a journalist, especially when it was done by one of his business buddies.

He’ll eventually plead to a reduced charge of disturbing the peace, pay a nominal fine and court costs, sign a promise to stay our of trouble for one year, and extract a committment from the court to have his record expunged after that year is fulfilled.

So, walk away essentially free of negative, lasting consequences.

I love how the knuckle-dragging Marching Morons in the crowd just LOVED chanting; “Lock Her Up!!!” over and over again.

Don’t they realize it’s 2019? Hillary is retired and not running for ANYTHING?

Nah. That would mean they need to leave their comfortable time-warp bubble for reality.
